BREAKING: New Bitcoin Fork I am helping create a **new Bitcoin Hardfork** -- dropping this August, called "eCash". - Your coins will split. For example, if you have 4.19 BTC, then you will get 4.19 eCash. - You may sell your eCash -- or keep it. Or ignore it! Vegas: - Yes, I will be in Vegas next week. - No, I won't mention this, on stage -- (that would be rude). Our L1 Node... - is a near-copy of Bitcoin Core. - is Sha256d mined. - forks via a one-time difficulty-reset -- to its minimum value. (So, mining will be crazy at first.) - Yes, we will change the seed nodes, the name, the network magic, etc. Codewise, the L1 will remain compatible with Bitcoin Core: - We will continue to merge their changes (even the bad ones). - The L1 will activate Bip300/301 via CUSF -- the core untouched soft fork. So, no lines of code will be changed, on the L1. - The activation client will be published periodically (link below). - We will do several bug bounty contests this summer. - The client will be frozen 30 days prior to the fork. Yes, there will be Drivechains: - We have 7 in developement right now. - Users can also submit their own. - Drivechain is a vision of "competing L2s" -- this avoids the "dev capture" problem. - These L2s are all Merged Mined. Miners automatically get free $. - Our L2s are already capable of planetary scale, and onboarding 8 billion users. - We also have a zCash-like L2, with strong privacy. - Other L2s: Truthcoin (Prediction Markets), CoinShift (Decentralized Exchange), BitAssets (NFT etc), BitNames (Identity), Photon (Quantum Resistant). Unlike BCH (the 2017 fork): - There is no "Bitcoin" in the name. New name, new brand. - You are getting advanced warning (4 months). - We are replaying all txns (at first). We will release a coin-splitter tool. - This is a permanent & sustainable fix to Bitcoin's problems (instead of a 1 MB to 8 MB temporary fix). - Back in 2017, the BTC tech stack was strong, and expectations for Lightning were strong. Today, it is the reverse. Video to follow.

"rewriting the Constitution"... ...has now come to mean "soft fork" (!?!) and "sidechain" (!?!) Could be a sign of the end times
Developers just figured out a way to hide who sent bitcoin, who received it, and how much moved, without changing Bitcoin itself. This new proposed idea is not a fork around the protocol or new cryptocurrency. This is how Bitcoin was designed, a base layer people can innovate on without asking permission. On Thursday, researcher Misha Komarov and colleagues published Shielded Bitcoin, a Zcash-style shielded pool for Bitcoin’s base layer. Encrypted notes and zero-knowledge proofs ride along in ordinary Bitcoin transactions. Separate software checks that no coins are created from nothing and none are spent twice. There is no company running the pool, no sidechain, and no soft fork. Funds go in and out through cryptographic vaults Komarov has been building, called PIPEs, so no federation has to hold the bitcoin. Miners do not enforce the privacy rules. Invalid shielded data can still land in a block, indexers simply ignore it. The trade is: Bitcoin stays conservative, and the experiment lives on top of it. If it works, private transfers arrive the way most of Bitcoin’s best ideas have, not by rewriting the constitution, but by building on the settlement layer everyone already trusts.

Actually, it shows the level of our psychosis that we’ve reached a point where it became sane to think it’s easier to solve witness encryption than to upgrade Bitcoin.

These images were taken with an atomic force microscope (AFM), which drags a cantilevered tip across the sample and uses a laser to read out small changes in the tip's position. This particular AFM tip was functionalized with a CO molecule, making it sensitive to individual atoms

My AI doom scenario: AI is successfully captured by governments. It is good enough to be extremely useful to them in maintaining control of their populations, but not good enough to bring about radical innovation and transformative growth. It is kept in this state intentionally, since radical change is a threat to the incumbent power structure. All compute is centrally monitored so no one can advance the field further. Dissent becomes functionally impossible due to AI-powered censorship. Given the politics of the people who want to capture AI, this means further mass migration, degrowth climate policies, an ever-increasing regulatory burden, and ubiquitous anti-White discrimination in the name of equity. To a doomer, even a right wing doomer, this would be a relatively good outcome because we haven’t all been gunned down by terminators. I don’t think it’s a good outcome and I want to prevent it. The world is, and has always been, a race between the chaotic forces of growth and the centralizing forces of control and stability. I want growth to win. AI has the potential to shatter existing global power structures and allow something new to grow in their place. Speed of change is the only defense against parasitism, control, decay. Change so fast that they can’t keep up. AI will either end the evil dream of centralized control once and for all, or, if the controllers manage to capture AI, cement it for all time. Hence, acceleration. I want more open source, more competition, more diffusion. I want us to print so much compute that everyone can run frontier models on their desktops. I want power too cheap to meter. I want the scales to finally and decisively tip towards explosive chaotic growth and end the possibility of closure forever.

eCash is the result of builders, creatives, and tinkerers kneecapped by gatekeepers of code After speaking with @Truthcoin today, that was my biggest (and saddest) takeaway Bitcoin has been ossified into suffocation; there is no room for innovation when social dogma deems it sacrilege Many looking from the outside in want to yell, “transaction fees become even more important with each halving” Concerned, and “staked” parties (ie HODLers), are not welcome to be heard Even the most faithful have been forced to hard fork and innovate outside of one of the most beautiful pieces of technology our generation has ever seen But those who keep fighting to bring new users and uses to Bitcoin are armed with a vision that Bitcoin core can learn to dream big once again Let’s see what eCash can do Let’s see if it can spark a renaissance

Bitcoin Hard Fork: eCash Beta Is Live Bitcoin's biggest limitation has always been change itself. New functionality means years of soft fork debate, while L1 stays intentionally frozen to protect the monetary base. Drivechains (BIP 300/301) fix this: sidechains pegged to BTC, independent of L1. Succeed, and Bitcoin gains new utility and fee revenue. Fail, and L1 is untouched. eCash is the first real network built on this model, and Alpha proved it. Hashrate hit 9.44 PH/s, 7 independent pools mined blocks, and the community shipped a bunch of tools unprompted: 1/ pecx.shop / peesex.shop - first pECX↔BTC AMM, built in days 2/ szats.world - pECX faucet, hit by proxy farmers within hours 3/ explorer.alpha.ecash.ninja - the first block explorer 4/ eCashPool & NurseryPool - community mining pools, one paying out in Thunder on principle 5/ ecashmeter.com - drivechain fee tracker, flipped live weeks early 6/ The eCash Splitter - official coin-splitting tool, GUI + CLI, shipped mid-alpha New drivechains proposed. Blind merge mining tested live. Consensus bugs diagnosed by block height and root cause, faster than most funded eng teams manage. Beta is now live: ecash.com/join Beta improves the pECX burn rate 👉 1,000 pECX → 20 real ECX (up from 10 in Alpha) The pECX tokens are in addition, not instead of the original 1:1 airdrop. Every BTC holder still gets ECX 1:1 at full launch on October 31 regardless. Burning pECX now is a bonus on top of that, extra ECX for showing up early. Receiving and splitting: Hold BTC non-custodially at the fork block, you get equal ECX automatically, nothing moves or converts. eCash uses opt-in protection, not built-in, so every wallet and exchange keeps working on day one, but that means until you split, moving BTC could move your ECX too. Splitting is a one-time fix, three ways to do it, two are one-tap in official eCash software, the third uses standard Bitcoin tooling only. BTC on an exchange? You can't split yourself. We're in touch with exchanges about crediting ECX, or you can withdraw to self-custody before Oct 31 and split it yourself. 👉 ecash.com/join

Further proof that the federation model is worthless (Not that it was needed)

eCash (BIP-300) vs. Blake2b Chain (BIP-110): Two Forks, Two Philosophies Two Bitcoin forks went live this summer, three weeks apart, and they're really answers to opposite questions. BIP-110 asks: how do we protect Bitcoin from what it's become? It went after inscriptions and on-chain data, needed miner support, got 2.5% of it, stalled for three weeks, then had to abandon SHA-256 entirely and relaunch on a new proof-of-work just to survive. That pivot cost it the one thing it was trying to defend. eCash asks a different question: how do we let Bitcoin become more without breaking what it is? Same supply schedule, same emission, same block template. The only real change is BIP-300/301, letting sidechains handle payments, privacy, prediction markets, and any other use case, while L1 stays untouched. One treats the base layer as a museum to be defended. The other treats it as a foundation to build on, carefully, without touching the foundation itself. History doesn't hand down a verdict here, but it does offer a pattern. Forks built on subtraction, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin SV, tend to fade once their one grievance stops mattering. Forks and platforms built on permissionless addition, Ethereum most of all, end up capturing entire industries, flaws and all. The next two years will show whether that pattern holds. October 31 is when eCash's permanent chain goes live and the experiment stops being a rehearsal. Either way, 2026 made one thing clear: Bitcoin's fights aren't just about its past anymore. They're about who gets to build its future, and how.
