I mained Fox McCloud in every single Smash Bros title at #Supernova this year. Fox is often cited as one of the strongest characters in Super Smash Bros history, being a viable character in every single game. So I put that to the test this weekend and competed in every game.

Top 16s in this game have consistently been way more exciting than top 8s. The tippy top players of this game tend to have really lame and hard to interact with play styles that can be really boring to watch as a viewer.

The new GC Ultimate joystick caps have been under heavy use by me for 4 months or so now. I'm really pleased with how they are holding up, retaining their color and grip ☺️

I started learning Sonic for Character Crisis recently and I hate to say it but he's absolutely right. Sonic is actually really cool but the average smash player sees him turn into a ball and says "that's his whole moveset"
These kinda theatrics also add to the hate and ignorance that exists surrounding the character too but alas.
Plenty of resources out there to learn and understand the character this late into the game but if it ain’t swordfighting/fgc facerolling simulator it’s “boring”

my first ever video got around 7k views and its thumbnail was literally white text on a black background. guarantee you it would’ve gotten a fraction of that if it was an AI slop thumbnail.
As a creator i disagree, the thumbnail is important when it comes to YT. Thats why big creators hire editors for thumbnails. And this matters way more when it comes to small creators that dont get standard views (mentioning small creators cause thats the majority that uses ai)

For some context this was game 5. I was on the verge of getting reverse 3-0'd after some very close games. This was the mountain I had to climb to not get eliminated from the bracket.

Yoshi got a lot of meaningful buffs from Smash 4 to Ultimate but the biggest may just be the engine change. Smash 4 didn't have many characters that could combo you to death. Ultimate does which makes Yoshi's double jump armor more important. Yoshi's offense is also eggcellent.

The last two years I've done this challenge as Fox and Captain Falcon and they at least felt somewhat similar throughout the series. Yoshi on the other hand has gone from being one of the most difficult characters in the series to one of the easiest.

This weekend I went to #Supernova the largest tournament ever and played as Captain Falcon in EVERY single Super Smash Bros game. No one else is the face of Smash quite like Captain Falcon but throughout his appearances in each game he functions very differently.

Finally, we have Super Smash Bros Ultimate a game in which Yoshi has seen a major resurgence. Thanks to incredible Japanese talent such as @yoshidora123 and @ssbmark7 Yoshi is now just barely ranked outside of the top 10.

Am I the player who can prove to the world that Yoshi can do it in Smash 4? Not even close. Out of 209 players my only win would be a DQ. I went game 3 with a Shulk main but when it got to last hit I got greedy and tried to Up-Smash a Smash Art Shulk. (it did not end well).

This buff was huge for Yoshi but he was still considered a low mid-tier. Many things about Yoshi still feel a little awkward in this game and his unique defensive traits weren't heavily valued in Smash 4. Given the right player though and Yoshi could put in the work.

However, Smash 4 gave Yoshi the biggest buff he ever could have asked for. He can finally jump out of his shield. Before Yoshi would have to drop shield before he could do anything. Nair has always been one of Yoshi's best moves and now you can do it out of shield.

Smash 4 is a game I'm quite fond of given that's where I originally started my competitive journey but I did not have that much experience with Yoshi. I got some help from my friend @TJLikesPuddles at the event and learned a few techniques such as jab 1 Up-Smash.
