NETHERLANDS BANS GOODS FROM ISRAELI COMMUNITIES IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA The Netherlands has begun enforcing a nationwide ban on importing, buying or selling goods produced in Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria, eastern Jerusalem and the Golan Heights. According to Ynet, intentional violations can carry penalties of up to six years in prison. The restrictions also apply to travelers bringing affected products into the country and to goods already held in commercial stock. Dutch authorities say the measure is aimed at preventing economic support for settlements they consider unlawful under international law. Israel disputes that legal characterization.
