My latest @Algemeiner "With the state of the Iranian nuclear program unclear, and its future still to be determined, it will be difficult to get Saudi Arabia to forego its objective of matching Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Complicating matters further is President Trump’s June 17 statement on the inability to completely deny ballistic missiles to Iran while other Middle Eastern countries have them. Could his idea of establishing a sense of parity in the Middle East be extended to nuclear enrichment matters?" 👇

My latest @Quillette “The Iran-Hezbollah bond is mutually beneficial. For Hezbollah, Iran is a lifeline. For Iran, Hezbollah is a critical component of its strategy for regional hegemony. Neither will abandon the relationship, especially in the face of Israeli attempts to extirpate the militia and roll back Iranian regional ambitions. For one party to abandon the other would only empower their domestic, regional, and international opponents.” For more see 👇

My latest @Quillette "For a responsible and effective Lebanese Army to be created, Lebanese society would have to be rebuilt and reformed. Unfortunately, rehabilitating such a society can take generations. But without that rehabilitation, the LAF cannot effectively confront and subdue Hezbollah.” 👇

“The resolutions of Tlaib, Ramirez, and Velazquez exhibit the actions and ideas of individuals consumed by ideology. Their progressive zeal blinds them to reality. They ignore basic understandings and abandon commonsense while indulging in hyperbole and hysteria. Their fealty to progressivism runs so deep that they are willing to introduce ideas and advance an agenda that effectively works to jeopardize American security and interests.” My latest @Algemeiner. algemeiner.com/2026/04/15/he…

“Senator Warren’s crude attempt to curry opposition to Israeli self-defense reveals her bizarre rationalization and confused thinking. In her bizarro world, a country that strung along and lied to the US government while working to extort additional US tax dollars is considered a victim.” My latest @Algemeiner 👇 algemeiner.com/2026/04/07/wh…

This is another example of how Lebanon is denied agency and responsibility. Some of the Christian leadership empowered Hezbollah through their Army-Resistance dynamic. But for Carlson it is not worth mentioning.
Tucker Carlson: "Israel named this operation killing hundreds of civilians in Lebanon, mostly in Beirut, 'Eternal Darkness.'" "It's a euphemism for hell—and that's exactly what Israel brought to Christians in Lebanon today," Carlson adds before sharing videos of the assault.

Baby steps. Another half measure. Performative. Real measures entail: The Lebanese government cutting relations with Iran and closing the embassy. Arresting and imprisoning Wafiq Safa.
I instructed today the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants to summon the Iranian Chargé d’Affaires in Lebanon to inform him of the decision to withdraw the agrément for the designated Iranian Ambassador, Mohammad Reza Shibani, declare him persona non grata, and request that he leave Lebanese territory no later than 29 March 2026. 🇱🇧

My latest @myfairobserver “Much of Lebanon is afflicted with a debilitating narcissism. The narcissism would not warrant much attention if the Mediterranean country resembled Singapore, but in the last 50 years, Lebanon has begun to rival Somalia in its dysfunctional and dystopian qualities.” fairobserver.com/politics/th…
