Identifying, locating, and removing criminal aliens from our border communities remains a critical part of our mission. A Mexican national was apprehended during a warrant operation in Mission, Texas. He is illegally present in the U.S., has a conviction for aggravated assault, and is a known Paisa gang member. Prosecution for illegal reentry is underway, followed by deportation.

U.S. Citizen Caught in Some Serious Monkey Business🚨 A USBP K-9 alert at the Javier Vega Jr. USBP checkpoint led agents to an unusual encounter: four spider monkeys stuffed inside a duffle bag. The driver lacked documentation or vet records to establish ownership. The smuggled wildlife was turned over to USDA and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

USBP agents apprehended a previously deported Mexican national attempting to illegally enter the U.S. near Progreso, TX. Records checks revealed an active homicide warrant in Mexico. He now faces federal prosecution for felony illegal reentry before being repatriated to Mexico to face murder charges. USBP will continue to identify every person attempting to sneak across our border and remove criminal threats before they reach our communities.

AGENTS INTERDICT OVER $4.8M WORTH OF COCAINE! A U.S. citizen traveling on Interstate 8 near Yuma, AZ, was found with 30 packages containing a staggering 71 lbs. of cocaine hidden in his pickup truck. He is now in custody and facing federal drug charges.

No matter what, our agents are at their peak. From day one at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy to operations on the border, U.S. Border Patrol agents are operating at a higher level to secure our nation's borders.

Drug mules tried playing on both sides of the Rio Grande and failed. USBP Foreign Operations Branch and CBP AMO coordinated with the Government of Mexico to apprehend one drug smuggler who ran back to Mexico after USBP agents intercepted two individuals along the river in Santa Maria, TX. A combined total of 133 pounds of marijuana were seized. 🔹U.S. side: 2 illegal aliens arrested & 49 lbs. of marijuana seized. 🔹Mexican side: 1 Mexican national arrested & 84 lbs. of drugs seized.

A load of contraband labeled as “NON-MARIJUANA” didn’t pass the test when USBP K9 alerted to the shipment and a field test came back positive for marijuana. Agents at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint seized 1,484 lbs. of pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes with an estimated street value of more than $1M. A drug is a drug, regardless of how it’s labeled, packaged, or disguised. We will identify it and seize it.

A Santa Muerte shrine couldn’t save this stash house. USBP agents executed a search warrant at a suspected stash house in Laredo, TX, where an illegal alien smuggler from Mexico and two Honduran nationals were found inside the residence. The smuggler now faces federal human smuggling charges, followed by deportation. The two others will be processed for removal.

U.S. Border Patrol agents are going to keep on moving. Patrolling, searching, apprehending, and securing the border to make absolute border security a reality.

A historic first for USBP, and a clear warning to terrorist cartel members. On July 10, 2026, McAllen Border Patrol agents arrested Jose Flores-Flores, an illegal alien and alleged Cartel del Golfo member.

After months of relentless investigative work by USBP agents and strong binational cooperation, Mexican authorities arrested two cartel scouts in Sonora, Mexico. One individual is linked to the Los Salazares transnational criminal organization. Together, with our international partners, we are disrupting criminal networks and securing our country.

USBP’s Criminal Alien Targeting Team identified a public safety threat, tracked him down, and took him into custody in Riverside, CA. The Mexican national with expired DACA status pleaded guilty to concealing a camera with intent to invade privacy and is required to register as a sex offender. He will remain in custody pending removal proceedings. Legal immigration status granted by the United States is a privilege, one that can be revoked the moment you choose to violate U.S. laws.

9 illegal aliens made entry from Mexico into Big Bend National Park in a vehicle; 9 illegal aliens were apprehended. 3 vehicles. One failed human smuggling attempt. Four human smugglers attempted a synchronized human smuggling scheme that unraveled quickly. Border Patrol agents intercepted the three vehicles traveling in tandem, carrying 16 illegal aliens in Wellton, AZ. The four U.S. citizen smugglers are now facing alien smuggling charges. All sixteen individuals illegally present in the U.S. will be processed and deported.

A Mexican national with a serious criminal history was apprehended attempting to sneak into the U.S. in Brownsville, TX. The individual has prior convictions for indecency with a child, aggravated kidnapping, and failure to register as a sex offender. He now faces charges for illegal reentry, followed by deportation. We will continue to secure the border and keep dangerous predators out of our communities.
