Today, our nation marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and we solemnly remember the nearly 3,000 people whose lives were taken in the attacks.
For us at the @USEEOC, this is especially personal as our New York District Office was located in 7 World Trade Center, adjacent to the Twin Towers, which collapsed later. Thankfully our staff were accounted for, but they experienced profound emotional trauma.
The resilience, courage, and commitment of the EEOC’s New York Office staff remain an essential part of our legacy. Today, we honor the victims of 9/11 and pay tribute to our employees who continue the vital work of advancing equal opportunity and combating discrimination.
