We’ve seen some posts circulating of Model S and Model X vehicles equipped with HW3 receiving V14.2 Lite in 2026.27.10. As far as we can determine, these vehicles do not represent the general fleet. Based on further research, we believe that these vehicles were previously in Tesla’s Wave1 (Early Access) program and were erroneously not fully removed from the program upon company departure. There have also been instances historically of VINs being erronously flagged for early access groupings, which may also be at play here. To clarify, these vehicles (and the owners) are not at fault for this, nor is this within their control in any capacity. As detected on our own platform and others, the first wave of both 2026.27.10 included only HW3 Model 3 and Model Y, and as with 2026.27.6 also excluded Model S and X legacy vehicles, even those enrolled in the customer early access groups. With this said, we believe that Tesla is gearing up to widen this to finally include customer-owned legacy Model S and X vehicles, although more time is needed. As always, we will continue to monitor the situation closely.
