For my non-tech friends: confused by “indie developer” and “indie hacker”? You’re probably not the only one 🙂
Here’s a simple explanation 👇
💻 Indie developer: Someone who builds apps or software independently, usually alone or with a small team.
🚀 Indie hacker: Someone who builds an independent business around a product—finding customers and earning from it too.
Example:
Build a budgeting app → indie developer.
Also market it and sell subscriptions → you can be both!
“Hacker” here means a creative problem-solver. No breaking into computers 😂
