In 2011, @garrytan encouraged me to apply to YC when I ran into him at an event, a nudge that changed the trajectory of my life. Over the course of a few weeks during S11, @paulg and Garry helped us pin down my first startup's onboarding flows - a treasured lesson as a first-time founder. Garry then bet on us via @Initialized's very first fund. Thirteen years later, we finally had the opportunity to work closely together again as one of Garry's companies in W24. We'll be sending out invites soon, so stay tuned. By the way, YC as it currently exists in 2024 is incredible. This batch was intense compared to S11 and S16, and was designed and executed near-flawlessly to help the youngest companies obsessively focus and ship even faster. The S24 application deadline is Apr 22nd. If you're thinking about applying, you really should - there is no better place to start a new project.
