Game changer for gaming studios
Excited to share that the Image to 3D lab pipeline now works on nvidia gpus alongside Apple silicon. + some other nice updates. Get it here: github.com/Bingeljell/image-… 1. Works on Nvidia / CUDA / Vulkan 2. A simple 1 line curl install (in the link above) - and you'll get notified about updates in the web viewer itself 3. Simplified onboarding 4. A more intuitive user experience across the pipeline Tested on a 3090/ 3090 Ti and a 4090. What you see in the video is from these cards. It's blazing fast for you Nvidia users! 😤

Opus 5.5 is absolutely insane at motion design.

This feels extremely relevant today. Animation and motion design with code was inevitable.
If it can be animated in code, it probably should be animated in code

Announcing Cosign. Silicon Valley knows people by watching other people know them. One person's visible belief becomes a signal to someone else, and the network updates its priors. Ascendancy is a game of two moves: self-made wins and high-status vouches. The earlier someone is in their trajectory, the less proof there is to go on, and the more meaningful the vouch. Belief compounds. People used to earn status through rites of passage like graduating college and landing prestigious jobs. People collect status in bits now, 24/7, often outside any formal system. Showing your work in public has become the new warm intro. Vouches take many forms. A tweet, an invite, an introduction, an angel check. Being undeniable and getting credible people to say so is how you become somebody in Silicon Valley. The game only works if new people can win. Everyone benefits when good people get pulled into the game faster. If you believe in someone early, say so. cosign.co

if it takes 42 seconds to finetune a specialized classifier that is: the best, fastest and cheapest, why not do it?

On My First Million, Mark Pincus laid out the whole Zynga thesis. Find a mature market that's dead and played out, that VCs won't touch, but that still has a lot of money in it. For him that was video games. In 2007 it was a $23b industry, barely growing, not fundable. Today it's $283b and still not fundable. His line: we're living in 2007 again, consumer isn't investable, so go do consumer.

Excited to share Quail, our new open source AI-SQL engine (a collab with Modal)! By planning queries and LLM inference together, it reaches 1B+ input tokens/min on one H100 for one query 😱🚀 AI-powered data operators create a new, interesting inference workload👇

The products that LLMs recommend will be the dominant products people use. You win this game by: 1. Building a product that customers love and talk about on the Internet. 2. Playing well with LLMs, e.g. with API/MCP/CLIs etc. Great to see @Mercury wining here.

Declinism is a status game. It lets you sound worldly while betting against your own state. California isn't dying. It's being rebuilt by people too busy building to post about the apocalypse. If you came here, built something, and made it yours, you're the rebuttal. DM us or email hello@garryslist.org and share your #CaliforniaDream.

"JEV-as-a-Judge: Accept When Confident, Escalate When Unsure" This paper shows you can just use JEV for every evaluation instead of expensive LLM. JEV basically acts as a cheap first-pass judge, returning both a verdict and how confident it is. When confidence is high, keep the answer. When it’s low, escalate to a stronger LLM. This simple routing keeps ~99% of GPT-6’s accuracy while reducing evaluation cost by a lot. alphaxiv.org/abs/2609.26550
