The products that LLMs recommend will be the dominant products people use. You win this game by: 1. Building a product that customers love and talk about on the Internet. 2. Playing well with LLMs, e.g. with API/MCP/CLIs etc. Great to see @Mercury wining here.

"I think just being annoyed about the world is quite a useful attribute as a CEO... why does it have to be like this?" @immad has built @mercury with extreme helpfulness and irrational effort at the core its product philosophy. Watch: Dialectic 57: The Art of Irrational Effort Immad Akhund is a 4x founder who decided banking didn't need to suck, especially given how central it is to every entrepreneur's journey. Nearly a decade in, he hopes to fight decay and build a company that gets better over time, not worse. 1-in-3 startups use Mercury, and he's betting that the next 10 years of entrepreneurship will be greater than the last. Today, we’re launching an ambitious new school called The Horowitz Andreessen Academy. Based in San Francisco, The Academy serves the most promising young high school graduates. We think this can be an elite institution that attracts top tier talent. One that prepares students for the future rather than remaining stuck in the past. The #1 goal is to help students learn to build, which is the most important skill in the AI era. They'll learn primarily by pursuing their own projects, either individually or in groups. There are classes and guest lectures, too, from some truly amazing people who have built modern-day Silicon Valley. The Academy is designed as a network, since that’s the reason students go to school in the first place. Core to that network are our 10 Founding Partners: Anduril, Anthropic, Coinbase, Google, Meta, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Palantir, Replit, and Stripe. The network includes over 50 hiring partners and over 200 speakers and mentors. To join as a hiring partner or faculty member, you can apply on our website. We raised $42M in funding led by @a16z. I'll be CEO and @pmarca and @eriktorenberg will join me on the board. Applications are open for our Founding Class Fellowship, which will be one year and tuition-free. Eventually, pending regulatory approval, we plan to offer a two-year program that charges tuition, similar in cost to an elite private university. We're looking for the most unusually ambitious young builders on the planet. Come join us in San Francisco: theacademysf.com/

I've attempted to map everything in oncology in a public website and open source repo for all. The site is trying to get all cancers, products, technologies, bottlenecks, people, startup opportunities with 1000+ ideas for upgrading the field. If you have a loved one with cancer and you are technical or can engineer, go take a look, file improvement requests or bugs or help with the open repo and make this the best open and free info resource for individuals, researchers and educational use. This should save people time, aid AI oncology projects and generate positive action. If you are not technical just complain in this thread about broken or annoying or things you want and I'll fix them live. Some of the interesting pages: Treatments: onco.cc/drugs A gallery of the molecules being used onco.cc/molecules/ And targets: onco.cc/targets/ The technologies in oncology: onco.cc/technologies/ 1100 ideas for helping oncology: onco.cc/ideas/ Bottlenecks on oncology: onco.cc/bottlenecks/ Open questions (LETS GO RESEARCH PEOPLE) onco.cc/open-questions/ Startup requests (LETS GO STARTUP PEOPLE) onco.cc/startup-requests/ Mechanics of cancer: onco.cc/mechanics Battlefronts: onco.cc/fronts/ Isotope supply: onco.cc/isotopes Key papers: onco.cc/key-papers Pipeline funnels: onco.cc/pipeline Cancer by type: onco.cc/cancers/ Institutional rankings: onco.cc/institutions/ The startups: onco.cc/startups/ Heros and heroines : onco.cc/heroes/ Key medical people: onco.cc/people/ Here is the project roadmap: onco.cc/roadmap/ Models and data sets: onco.cc/models/ There are other views as well, take a browse. Try making a PR if you have an upgrade to this on the repo here: github.com/judegomila/OnCo If you are biologically/medically minded and something is wrong, file a bug as well or say on the thread and we will get it fixed live. If this is a useful project star the repo and help get it calibrated. I've tried to add some other languages but I cannot speak them so tell me if that doesnt work well. I believe we will crack oncology and having total information dominance is key to the problem. Let the feedback flow!

Wearable AR has had a decade of attempts and still hasn't found the product. The pattern is familiar: a technology looks inevitable long before it's actually usable. Worth remembering the next time something seems like it should obviously work. More from our conversation with @stephenbalaban of Lambda on Founders in Arms. Link in bio.

We setup a white glove process for migrating from QB/Xero. Just put the following in Books Command: "I need help switching from QBO/Xero to Books" And you can book a time. We will incorporate this in the onboarding process.
Replying to @immad @mercury
Will it support QB/Xero imports?

One of the coolest things about @Mercury Books is this insane particle animation for onboarding. Made the wait for loading in Mercury data + categorization way more fun. Incredible design by @verlichen.

Update: apologies everyone, transaction syncing and automatic categorization are running slower than usual, given the launch traffic. We're working on speeding this up now - more updates shortly.
1/ Today, we're launching @Mercury Books. AI-powered accounting software, for your bookkeeper or you, that categorizes and reconciles your transactions the moment they happen.

7/ It's time for us to do to accounting what we did to banking. Bring it kicking and screaming to the 21st century :). No spreadsheets. No guessing which report has the numbers you need. No pinging your bookkeeper to translate a balance sheet. Just a better way to understand and run your business. *Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC. AI-generated responses and suggested actions may vary and are not guaranteed. Please review outputs before taking action.
