This tractor trailer unit entered the Vancouver Port to pick up a container. Both front tires had cord exposed, and a leaking brake pod. Also, a brake out of adjustment and three axles with loose rims likely from worn bearings. Ticket issued, truck placed out of service and the trailer was issued a box 1. It was towed and must have a full inspection and repairs completed before it can be used again. #WeAreOutThere #DriveSafe

Folks, if you're going to pass the @VancouverPD on an E-Scooter in the rain and uphill and speeding, you may want to ensure that you have a driver's license and insurance..and that your brake caliper isn't hanging disconnected. An E-scooter must meet the requirements of the BC Provincial Pilot Project or else it is considered a motor vehicle under the BC Motor Vehicle Act. An E-scooter must not exceed 500 W of output and cannot exceed 25 km/h on flat ground. This "motor vehicle" was 6000 W output and traveling 65 km/h uphill. Hope this helps.

Received our order of 230 Drager ASDs. @VancouverPD is the first police organization to receive an order this large in BC which will allow every patrol officer to deploy with a device. New accompanying software will track where ASDs are used which will allow us to better focus enforcement of impaired drivers. #PoliceTech #EnhanceSafety
