🚨This @Algorand research gets wilder and wilder. Florida International University didn’t just mention $ALGO, researchers MODELED transactions on it, tested relay-node experiments around Algorand’s network. For something tied to U.S. Air Force funded research, which is such a secure drive, top secret environment this is so indepth on $ALGO!

Understand, to some extent, that the price of $ALGO isn’t something the @AlgoFoundation can directly control (as Staci has said previously). However, when a depressed price means node validators may be missing opportunities elsewhere, while Foundation-held $ALGO is also being distributed or sold at relatively low valuations, it does become a legitimate concern for long-term supporters. Unfortunately I can’t ask Staci directly, as I’ve been blocked for reasons I’m still unaware of. @marcvl — perhaps you’re the best person to ask: how does the Foundation balance its operational funding needs with the long-term impact of selling ALGO during periods when the market significantly undervalues the network? Is there a strategy to minimise that effect where possible? @algorand #Algorand

Lofty is the only real estate platform that pays you rent every single day, and there's a reason we don't just pay it monthly like everyone else. Obviously tenants pay rent monthly. So why do we split it up and pay it out daily? Two reasons: 1. It kills unfair arbitrage. If we paid monthly, experienced investors would wait for the rent payout, then sell their shares to a newer investor who'd have to wait a whole month for their first payment. Daily rent makes it fair whether you've held for a year or an hour. 2. Investors love earning rent the same day they invest. You buy a share of a property in the morning, and your first rent payment lands that evening. Nobody has experienced that in real estate before. And because you can sell anytime, you can buy part of a real rental property, earn rent from a real tenant, and sell it all within the same day. What normally takes months can now take an hour. This is the future of real estate.

Last year I had 2 new tyres fitted to my van - £126. Today I had two new tyres fitted to the same van, same garage, same make of tyre - £165. 30% increase in one year. Diesel is up 35% since a couple of months ago. My van insurers want an extra £120 this year. I'm a Decorator and all the paint I use has had TWO price increases each year for the past few years. Some now costs approximately TWICE what it cost 6 years ago. Some trade paint is now over £100 for 5 litres. Yes it's better than cheap crap but that's a ridiculous price. But I'm just one bloke trying to earn a living. Millions are in the same boat as me. They can give you stories about the price of timber, plasterboard, electrical fittings, roof tiles and everything else they have to buy. Everything appears to be getting more difficult for everyone. In years gone by we didn't all have to worry about the cost of putting the heating on or how much we paid for the water that came out of our taps. We do now. We didn't have to search the shelves in the supermarkets for the cheapest (inferior) alternatives and we didn't get utterly ripped off when paying for parking in town centres. Our Council Tax bills, (or Rates as it used to be called), were equal to a small proportion of our income. And we got the bins emptied every week. We could actually buy rounds in the pub - Remember THAT? Many millions of people who frequented pubs can't afford to go there any more. Their village pub is probably shut now anyway. Our public services are overstretched. The NHS is ALWAYS on it's knees. Our roads are falling to bits. Parents can't get their kids into their local schools. Many people in villages, towns and cities are frightened to go out alone (or at all) due the numbers of undesirables roaming the streets and our parks. But it's OK. We're the Worlds 5th largest economy apparently and therefore a "rich" country compared to many. Perhaps that's why we can afford to give away ONE THOUSAND MILLION POUNDS every MONTH to countries who don't share our good fortune, or our wonderful public services or our national contentment in knowing we're nearly at the top of the tree. Is it any wonder that hundreds of thousands of people are just saying "bollocks to this" and either stopping work or buggering off to live somewhere else? My advice to any young person would be - Go! It might not work out for you but at least you've had a try, probably had some fun, learnt a lot about yourself and the World and maybe met someone you can share your life with. You can always come back again and help the local council empty the bins every 3 weeks.

How intriguing that you’ve chosen not to post guidance like this before the numerous hate marches we’ve seen in London - all of which have involved antisemitic chants, slogans, symbols and banners. Two tier policing at its finest.
Prosecutors have been issued new legal guidance on the use of offensive banners, slogans, chants or symbols to recognise the changing context and increase in increase in hate crime attacks ahead of significant planned protests in London this weekend. orlo.uk/z2Tcn

Made my first prediction on @alphaarcade using my @ethereum account on @MetaMask. Transferred 10 @USDC to @Algorand using @Allbridge_io. Picked a market, signed the transaction with my EVM keys. Done. No need to buy $ALGO. No need to download an Algorand wallet. Just me, Alpha Arcade, and MetaMask. Sweet!
The EVM ecosystem has over 30 million monthly active wallet users. Until today, none of them could access Algorand dApps without creating a new wallet. That changes now with xChain Accounts. xChain Accounts launches today with @alphaarcade, one of the top prediction markets in crypto by transaction volume. Connect with supported EVM-compatible wallets like MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, or any other EVM wallet. No new wallet or seed phrase required.

After reading the Coinbase Quantum Advisory Council's position paper "Quantum Computing and Blockchain," I'd pick **Algorand**. It's among the first chains to deploy post-quantum signatures (FN-DSA/FALCON) in production across both consensus and execution layers, with the first mainnet PQ transaction already live. State proofs use succinct PQ attestations, and execution supports native PQ accounts without protocol forks. Others like Ethereum have strong roadmaps and Aptos/Solana have vaults or key updates, but Algorand's live implementation gives it the clearest edge in actual post-quantum readiness today.

Authentication is broken. Passwords get hacked. Authenticator apps get lost. Platforms can lock you out. On Algorand, we just shipped a fix that changes everything: Liquid Auth, the first self-custodial passkey manager. It is not just a new feature. It is a reset of how digital identity, authentication, and self-custody can work on the open internet.

People - remove you $SOL and $ETH from @binance to self custody. This has been communicated for months now. Do it. Ethereum and Solana wallets are mainstream, just install one, get a wallet address, store the phrases safely, withdraw the assets from Binance to your self custody wallets. No reason to have them on CEX. If you want to trade them in and out of Stable Coins use a DEX. Just do it. If you stake on Binance - unstake, and restake to a community validator there are hundreds with equal or better yield. If you use Binance to pair trade just use defi as well. There is NO reason to keep crypto on centralized exchanges. Use defi.

So I’m learning new things here It looks like for ASA tokens there is an “opt in” process - a security feature to prevent sending of unwanted tokens So for external sending via Nyla sends could fail if the recipient has not opted into a token $USDC for example Currently what I’m looking at is creating a list of ASA tokens that are trustworthy And having an auto opt in if sending Nyla -> Nyla But no auto opt in (Nyla -> external) Does this sound right? On SOL we have rent requirement (completely different since we just set a fee payer) but it’s a similar constraint with a different purpose Looks like this opt in is primarily for security New to algo btw guys. Just talking out loud as I’m reading and testing Rn working on USDC transfers

Starting and running a business in 2025 Britain - let’s walk through it. You’ve got a good idea, managed to save a few quid to invest and want to give it a go. Let’s say it’s a cafe. Generate wealth, create jobs and contribute to your local economy. Great idea. You just picked the wrong country to do it in. Registering the damn thing is complicated enough, and that’s the easy bit. Next up is the bank account? You’re treated like a criminal and it takes week - opening a cafe, not a terrorist cell. You manage to find a premise, good location. Oh, it costs a fortune. Rent through the roof and you’re forced to pay thousands to the council. For what? The filthy high street? The rapid customer service? Hmm. Yet another rip off. Inspections are a nightmare, it’s never-ending bureaucracy from people who have never created anything in their lives. But somehow you get it off the ground and things go well. You need to expand, hire someone. Ouch. PAYE, national insurance, pensions, HR policies, health and safety risk assessments. One wrong step and you’re facing an employment tribunal. Is it even worth the risk? It’s becoming more and more expensive, and risky, to hire people? Why bother? Maybe you try and get independent contracted help. Ah. IR35 puts a stop to that. We wouldn’t want any flexibility now, would we? That would make too much sense. Your accountants already cost an absolute fortune. They’re bleeding you dry just so you comply with the layers and layers of regulations. But let’s say it’s gone well, and your hard work is paying off. Turnover hits £90k. The dreaded VAT threshold. That means if you essentially then have to start charging VAT. That means everything gets 20% more expensive for your customers. Or you are forced to absorb the costs. Or you deliberately make less money to stay below the threshold. Just brilliant. Maybe you want to keep the cafe open later? Serve some alcohol? Have some music on? More licences. More costs. More inspections. More bureaucracy. Why bother? Waste collection even costs a fortune. Remind me, why are you already paying the council? You try and ring the council, you’re on hold for 30 minutes. Brilliant. Customers are waiting. You finally speak to someone. They’re rude, and haven’t got a clue what they’re doing. They promise they’ll get back to you, but they only work four days a week and on Thursday they’re working from home. No answer, you have to chase and chase and chase. Incompetence reigns. Right. We’ve got through all of that, now you want to pay yourself? Not unreasonable is it? For working 16 hour days to get the business off the ground? Corporation tax slices your profit down. Maybe there’s some left. Dividend allowance has been cut, so there’s less to take there. Tax rates are up too. Hmm. Okay, well let’s take a small salary and some dividends. Maybe you’ve got student debt too which takes a large chunk? It is brutal. Even making money costs money. It costs to deposit, it costs to accept card payments. No holiday, no protection, no respect. All risk, and you’re treated like dirt by the Government. You look at it all and just think, why bother? Why not work for the public sector as some irrelevant bureaucrat obstructing everyone else? Get 60k, 35 days holiday and you can literally never be sacked. What’s the point? Why take the risk? Just do that instead. We desperately need to back British enterprise. Reward those who take all of the risk. And actually, support local businesses where we all can. We should be slashing corporation tax, doubling the VAT threshold, increasing personal allowances, abolishing business rates for high street small firms, reducing national insurance contributions, cutting tax on salary/dividends, brutalising red tape and PLENTY more. If you do these things, you will generate MORE tax revenue. It is really not a complicated principle. Does Reeves understand that? No. The woman is clueless. Absolutely clueless. She does NOT understand what she is forcing on business owners. Let’s see if she can run our cafe for a week. Absolutely NO chance. I’m with the men and women who build businesses, create wealth, and generate opportunities. They have my full respect. The politicians running our country certainly do not. My message to our cafe owner? Keep plugging away, it will get better. Please know that at least one MP is fighting for you in Westminster.
