Pastors and sessions like to think they exist as a court of appeal for disgruntled wives and imagine for themselves plenary powers to interfere with a father's rule of his own household. They justify it by imagining that if the "godly" wife doesn't like something, then the husband must be in "sin".
Pastors, it’s easy to say you stand against feminism in principle, but when’s the last time you applied it?
Have you talked about sins common to women?
When is the last time you’ve counseled a wife to go ask her husband?
Have you ever told a wife she needs to submit to her husband better?
Do you tell loud women that they need to have a gentle and quiet spirit?
Have you taught that a husband is to rule his home?
Have you ever told a woman that she needs to dress modestly, especially at church?
Was there ever a sermon that you preached about wives/women, where you didn’t say something about men?
