I was actually chatting with
@itsphilgeorge on social media while I was writing this, and I have to admit, I didn't think he would get back to me so quickly, it was a nice surprise 😲
I didn't ask him about the details, like how they plan to move forward or what their next steps are. Instead, I just asked him to share a message with the readers.
Phil replied:
“The internet became valuable because it made commerce global. Advertising powers commerce and everyone's data powers advertising. We think, it's time to give some of that value back to the people who make the internet valuable. People like you."
George's team is working to solve a big issue with the internet - we're still using old ways to measure what people do online, like counting clicks and views. The problem is, we can't really tell if it's a real person, a computer program, or a smart machine doing the clicking. This means companies are paying for information that might not be accurate. They need to find a better way to measure online activity so brands can make informed decisions and not waste their money on fake data.
Phil believes the current advertising internet was built on the false idea that everyone online is human, which isn't true anymore.
@earnos_io aims to change this. Instead of brands paying for uncertain results, they'll pay for verified actions taken by real people. Phil thinks people who create real value online should get a fair share, cutting out middlemen.
So, basically, this new thing called "ero" was created, where people can show who they are or do actual work, and then brands pay for the things that really happen. Meanwhile, the people who use it get something in return. There's this system called EarnOS that takes care of all the complicated Web3 stuff in the background, making it all work smoothly.
So, EarnOS is getting a verification layer from Ero, which is also connected to technology from
@verona_dev, but that's a story for another time. This verification layer is what's making sure that EarnOS is dealing with real people, real data, and real actions, giving it a solid foundation to work with.
What's really interesting about Phil George is how he wants to make complicated technology easy to use. He thinks the technology should be behind the scenes, so to speak. For the person using it, things are much more straightforward: they know they're real, they've actually done something, it can be checked, and they can get a fair share of the value they've created. This way, George is making sure that people can focus on what really matters, without getting bogged down in the technical details. He's all about keeping things simple and making sure everyone gets a fair deal.

Machines increasingly populate the internet, proving your humanity could become incredibly valuable.
That's Phil George, the person behind EarnOS.
