This is loser shit. Jerri Knows better than anyone about our tax problem and would forsake the biggest tax base in our community for cheap political points in an election she won’t win so she can prop herself up to run for mayor.
It’s transparent cheap and trashy
My statement regarding tonight’s delay of the data center moratorium in Memphis:
I am deeply disappointed that the council chose to kick the can down the road today instead of taking a stand for our neighborhoods. Everyday residents packed these chambers, taking precious time away from work and families because they are living with the urgent, real-time strain these heavy industrial data centers place on our public infrastructure, our air, and the Memphis Sand Aquifer.
It is our fundamental duty as legislators, elected by the people, to vote on the issues before us, up or down, and to have the moral courage to take a stand one way or the other. To delay is to shirk the responsibilities we signed up for when we asked voters to elect us to serve.
When corporate tech giants move faster than our local safeguards, waiting is a luxury our community cannot afford. I proudly voted against this delay because our residents deserve straight answers and ironclad protections today, not tomorrow. While some want to stall, this fight is far from over—I will keep standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our community to ensure working families are never left to pick up the pieces.
