RandomX proof-of-work. CPU-mineable, no ASICs. Hard cap 22,000,000. No presale, no token sale, nobody official will ever DM you. Mainnet 15 Sep 2026.

WAM's source lives in three places, at three companies: gitlab.com/WAMCoin/wam-coin github.com/wamcoin-core-dev/… gitea.com/WAMCoin/wam-coin One repository, pushed to all three. If one is unreachable, the other two are — and you don't need us to say which.

Our pool fee goes 0% → 1%, matching the other WAM pools. 0% made sense when ours was the only one. There are four now, and nobody can compete with nothing. pool.wamcoin.org:3333 wam.ariabrain.com:3333 stratum.cryptopickaxe.co.uk:… Pick one on how it runs.

WAM Coin, day four of mainnet, measured today: height 3,149 · 412 kH/s · RandomX, CPU only 17 distinct finders · 157,450 WAM mined of 22M One finder has produced 61.2% of all blocks. We publish that number permanently, high or low: explorer.wamcoin.org Only miners change it. Our pool takes 0%: stratum+tcp://pool.wamcoin.org:3333 v0.1.9 is out — not mandatory. It stops a newly installed node being fed a cheap fake history. v0.1.8 nodes are on the same chain and need nothing. Signed builds, Linux/Windows/macOS: wamcoin.org/start/ No listing, no price, nothing to buy.

The daily number, as promised — day 3. last seven days (1,773 blocks): largest finder 72.1%, 10 distinct right now (47 blocks, ~1.5h): largest finder 59.6%, 3 distinct Both are published side by side now, neither as the headline. The short window turns over in an hour and a half, so three lucky blocks move it twenty points and it named OUR pool as the largest twice today. The seven-day window is what the published condition is judged on: no exchange application while one finder is above 50%, target below 35%. explorer.wamcoin.org/api/con… Four independent pools now serve WAM. I probed all four minutes ago: each authorises a wam1 address and is serving work on the current tip. pool.wamcoin.org:3333 0% (the project's) wam.ariabrain.com:3333 1% stratum.cryptopickaxe.co.uk:… 1% pool.liquidpool.net:4333 1% Two of them have no miners yet. A new pool with nobody on it finds no blocks, and a pool that finds no blocks attracts nobody — the circle breaks with the first miner. We were in it on launch night with ten miners and two blocks. None of these is ours to recommend over another: pick the one that is not the biggest. And a number we had never measured until yesterday, after the founder said our reading was incomplete — a pool address is a pass-through, not a holder: 548 addresses have ever received WAM 540 of them are end recipients, not pools the largest end recipient holds 25.8% of what reached them So 72% of blocks found through one address, and 25.8% is the largest share any single person received. Both true. The first is reorg risk; the second is distribution. We had been publishing only the first. Our pool, for the record: 351 blocks confirmed, 49 maturing, 0 orphaned, 16,378.96 WAM paid to miners, 0% fee. WAM has no market value and may never have one.

We rewrote the commit history today, on purpose: 24 messages carried an attribution line that did not belong. No file changed. With a clone: git fetch --all --prune git reset --hard origin/main Published releases are untouched and still verify.

Read it yourself: github.com/satoshilabs/slips… Mainnet opens 15 September. Anything older than v0.1.5 forks itself off at height 1 and nothing tells it — the protocol carries blocks, not notices.

We checked the registry against the binary before writing it down anywhere. WAM_BIP44_COIN_TYPE = 0x57414D — which is 5,718,349, and also the letters WAM in ASCII. A registration that disagreed with the code would be worse than none.
154
What it is not: an endorsement, a listing, or a promise that any wallet will add support. Registration checks that a coin is real and that its numbers do not collide. Not that it is any good. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling something.
105
It settles something that had already cost us. A Bisq maintainer went looking for WAM, found an unrelated BEP-20 token of the same name, and wrote that he saw no project related to it. From today anyone checking finds WAM Coin in the registry SatoshiLabs keeps.
93
SatoshiLabs merged WAM into SLIP-0044 and SLIP-0173 today. Coin type 5718349. Address prefix `wam`. Those numbers are now reserved to this chain and to no other — the registry every wallet reads before it derives an address.
81
If you run a node and haven't updated since 23 August: v0.1.5 changed a consensus rule. An older node forks itself off mainnet on 15 September and nothing tells it. WAM is testnet software until then. The coins have no value and may never have any.
82
If you mine WAM, update: github.com/wam-coin-official… Verify the checksum first. A miner that stops silently loses everything it would have earned and tells you nothing.
76
It fired for real the next morning: 11:15:12 no job or reply for 601s — reconnecting 11:15:13 connected 11:15:24 share accepted Same machine, same failure. Ten minutes instead of six hours, and nobody touched it.
66
The check has to come after the read, or it measures how long we went without looking — not how long the pool went without speaking. And RandomX rebuilding its dataset stops the loop for 78s. The first two versions counted that as silence and dropped a live connection.
67
v0.1.6: the miner measures the silence itself. Ten minutes with nothing from the pool — no job, no reply to a share — and it reconnects. We got it wrong twice before shipping. Both times it was caught by testing it, not by reasoning about it.
61
The TCP connection was half-open. recv() returned neither zero nor an error, so the miner had no event to react to. SO_KEEPALIVE is set — Linux waits two hours before its first probe. The process was alive. The socket was "established". It carried nothing.
73
On 24 August a WAM miner held one job for six hours. The pool sent it at 06:18 for block 1370. The chain reached 1430 without it. At 12:36 it solved that job — a block already buried sixty deep. Then the hash rate went to zero. Nothing reported a fault.

WAM Coin v0.1.5 is out, and updating is not optional. Every earlier release enforces a different mainnet treasury address — a consensus rule. A node still on v0.1.4 will fork itself off the network at height 1 on 15 September, silently. Testnet is fine today. Mainnet will not be. github.com/wam-coin-official…
57
Two developers have reviewed the code so far and found two real security holes. Both are fixed and the exchange is public. Nobody has been paid to audit the consensus changes. That is the part I most want read, and there is a bounty: github.com/wam-coin-official…
73
Running a node takes about five minutes and costs nothing. The guide assumes you have never done it: github.com/wam-coin-official… Testnet coins are worth nothing and never will be. That is the point — break it now, while breaking it is free.
64
WAM Coin is a Bitcoin Core v28.1 fork with RandomX proof of work — CPU mining, 22M cap, no premine sale, no ICO. Testnet is live. Mainnet is 15 Sep. I am asking for two things before then: people to run a node, and people to read the consensus code. github.com/wam-coin-official…

The countdown has begun. True scarcity has a shape. Only 22,000,000 WAMCOIN. Fair, decentralized, and fully CPU-mineable. No pre-mine, no pre-sale. Mainnet Launch: September 15, 2026. Check the pinned tweet for official links and sources. ⛏️🔗 #WAMCOIN #Crypto #Web3 #Mining #Blockchain
