Last week, we held our 3-day weapons detection screening. It went extremely smooth and we did everything we could to make this experience calming for our students. Safety and security are priority at the Pack!

"Eleafea Middleton is an exceptional teacher who builds strong relationships with students and families through consistent communication about academic, social, and emotional growth, as well as coaching volleyball, softball, flag football, and basketball. She actively engages families beyond the classroom by encouraging participation in school events like STEM Night. She keeps athletes and their families informed about student progress both on and off the court. She uses hands-on tools to make concepts accessible for all learners. Her genuine care for students is evident in the way they seek her out in the halls just to share a smile or a hug."
Stay tuned as we highlight our exceptional teachers and their commitment to providing a high-quality, world-class education for every student, leading up to the #2026TOTY ceremony on Sept. 24.

This week on “Catch the Pace,” Dr. Pace highlights an important part of school safety: supporting the mental health and overall wellbeing of our students. Each HCS school has a CARE (Caring Adults Responding Every day) Team made up of counselors, social workers, administrators, and other caring staff who help connect students and families with the support they need.
Dr. Pace also highlights the role of Mental Health and Wellness Facilitators, who lead CARE teams and help ensure students have a caring adult they can turn to when challenges arise. Through the “You Belong” campaign, Mental Health and Wellness Facilitators are working to create school environments where every student feels welcomed, supported, valued, and ready to learn and grow.
