JENSEN HUANG DOESN’T THINK FORGETTING BASIC MATH IS A PROBLEM A study of 26,000 students in China found AI helped students finish homework faster and score better on assignments, but their exam scores fell over time. Huang wasn’t surprised. “Basic math is being forgotten.” But when asked whether that actually matters, he said, “I don’t think it does.” His view is that some skills will fade as technology takes over more of the work, and we’ll figure out which new skills matter instead. He even admitted he doesn’t know his own zip code or phone number anymore.

Not the best example with zip/tel numbers, they are just numbers not principles. By not learning principles we are losing ability to judge and verify
