The sponsor of the assisted suicide Bill, when confronted with polling showing opposition to the Bill just now in the House of Commons, criticised this polling company and misled the House.
She should made to retract this statement and admit the public does not support the Bill.
Lauren Edwards MP has just made a serious and false allegation about Whitestone Insight on the floor of the House of Commons.
She appears to have conflated us with an entirely different polling company. Whitestone Insight has NOT been criticised by the British Polling Council for failing to disclose who funded our research.
Ms Edwards should retract her statement and apologise.
If an MP has such a tenuous grasp of truth and accuracy when making allegations in Parliament, why should anyone have confidence in her judgement on a matter as momentous — and irreversible — as assisted suicide?
