The last few weeks have been kind of chaotic lol. Exams, figuring out a few things, applications, grants, some random freelancing work, travel/passport headaches, and way too many ideas about what to build next. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I applied to Emergent Ventures and unexpectedly got a call with @srajagopalan I was pretty nervous going into the call, and dk how it went 😭 We just talked normally about what I’ve been building, what I’ve learned so far, and what I want to work on next. Then I basically went back to building. After spending the last couple of years building things like Anvil, SolSocket and other projects, I’ve been getting much more serious about Rust and systems engineering. So I took an old TypeScript crypto exchange prototype and started rebuilding it properly in Rust. Now cex-rs has: → FIFO price-time priority orderbook → O(1) order cancellation → lock-first accounting → Tokio + Actix-web → Redis message bus → JWT auth → async request/reply routing At the same time, I’ve been going pretty deep into DeFi/perps and thinking about what to build next. Right now I’m leaning toward building a proper perps exchange, while also exploring a private AI agent execution runtime on @magicblock. Honestly, I still don’t know exactly where all of this is going. But I’m getting clearer on what I want to spend my time doing: building real systems, understanding what’s happening underneath, and going deeper instead of just jumping to the next shiny thing. So yeahh. Had exams, freelance work, applications, grants, a nervous call, and a lot of figuring shit out. Next up: back to building 🫡
