I spent all day editing with Davinci MCP in Claude. Wow it’s insane. Testing Astra tomorrow. I probably saved 10 hours today. Mind blowing stuff from someone who’s edited for 15+ years across various software. It’s only going to get better. It did such crazy color grading on raw Alexa footage I was mind blown

FFmpegにNVIDIA GPUのフレーム補間が正式統合された。
24fpsの映像を48fpsに、30fpsを60fpsに変換する専用ハードウェアをFFmpegから呼び出せる。
2023年に開発者自身がCUDA版を「ライセンスが使い物にならない」と退けていた。
NVIDIAのSDKに依存するとバイナリを再配布できず、FFmpegのnonfree基準すら満たせなかった。
3年後Vulkan APIという別の経路が開いた。
NVIDIAの非公開ライブラリを経由せずGPUのハードウェアに直接アクセスできるようになりライセンスの壁が消えた。
技術は3年前に完成していた。
足りなかったのはオープンソースが正面から取り込める道だった。
