Good Friday morning friends. This morning is heavy. September 11th. 25 years. I remember exactly where I was. I think most of us do. The towers falling, the Pentagon burning, Flight 93 in a Pennsylvania field. Nearly 3,000 innocent Americans gone in a single morning. We all said "Never Forget." But Never Forget isn't a slogan for a bumper sticker once a year. It's a responsibility. It's the responsibility to honor the police, firefighters, and first responders who ran up the stairs when everyone else was running down. It's the responsibility to back the military that answered the call. It's the responsibility to teach our children the truth — that America is exceptional, that freedom isn't free, and that evil is real, but so is American courage. We live in a time where a lot of people want to forget, rewrite, or apologize for who we are. I won't. Today, say a prayer for the families who still have an empty seat at the table. Thank a first responder. Fly the flag. God Bless America. We will Never Forget.

Thank you for this Kat. On Monday I found out I have a tumor pressing on my brain stem. I was relieved to know why my head has been hurting but that turned to anger, stress, sadness all the things. Today, I finally have a consultation with a neurosurgeon. Prayers are so welcomed. It’s going to be a long recovery. 🙏🏼
