Entirely Unsurprising: Martin Gero, an expert in his field and Stargate veteran, knew what he was doing.
Daniel showed up in every previous spinoff to pass the torch. This would have just been the right thing to do in the new show, too. #SaveStargate

@LexaDoig and @MichaelShanks just confirmed that Michael was going to reprise his role on Martin Gerro's StarGate. #savestargate Michael and Martin are very sad about this. And the new show would respect the fans.
The first season was already written. It was done in a very callous way by Amazon. They are still not over it. @SaveStargateHQ

It has now been 52 days since @AmazonMGMStudio cancelled the Stargate show they promised. Fans are continuing to actively campaign, including a strong presence at San Diego Comic-Con today. Tomorrow is #SaveStargate day. And there are more events confirmed through to October.

Science fiction is my favourite TV genre. Fantasy is my favourite book genre. When either is well written, they're character-driven, optimistic of the future, and worth re-experiencing. You know, like Stargate. #SaveStargate

I have never seen Robocop, it's before my time. I'm happy those fans, however many of them there may be, have a new story to look forward to - written by people familiar with the franchise. All Stargate fans are asking for is what we were promised - the same. #SaveStargate

Shows and movies get rebooted all the time. All their history, ignored - and what tends to be the result? A flop. Especially in recent years, "a writer without prior history in the franchise" writes an uninteresting story and sours future endeavours. #SaveStargate

If a studio exec cancels an announced but unreleased show, backlash should be purely blamed on them, and their career should be affected. I'm absolutely not saying fire them, but ability to make decisions should be limited. If #SaveStargate is unexpected you failed at your job.

Just like @LVMandM9onPrime before it, Felicia Day's The Guild has had a record breaking Kickstarter. Fans know what they want, and they trust the original creators.
Just like Amazon MGM did when they funded the rest of @LVMandM9onPrime. They must do the same for #SaveStargate

It's worth noting - #SaveStargate is entirely about ensuring Martin Gero's history, effort and passion are respected. Fans are only part of it - we respect the work of @bradtravelers @BaronDestructo @Dean_Devlin @rolandemmerich but especially @martingero - he knows his audience.

Stargate has great potential. Martin Gero's show should be the focus for the short term, but in the same way SG-1 and Atlantis ran at the same time, imagine what other shows or movies could be made alongside it. #SaveStargate
