The remains of a Maryland military service member who was unidentified for decades after he was killed at Pearl Harbor during World War II were welcomed home Thursday, Sept. 24, at Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport.
The remains of U.S. Army Pfc. Owen Norris, of Marriottsville, Maryland, were formally identified on July 7, 2026.
Norris will be buried Saturday at West Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery in Marriottsville.
Norris was 26 years old when he was killed along with more than 100 other service members in an explosion and subsequent fires during the West Loch Disaster at Pearl Harbor on May 21, 1944.

Seems like there are a lot of crimes being conducted by AI companies tonight. The word “rogue” is the language the AI titans want you to use. Don’t buy it. They own this.
I wrote last week for @theatlantic about crimes against the human species.
“The rapid development of AI has caused widespread speculation about what will happen when the technology “goes rogue.” This metaphor should be retired, because it implies that the companies and individuals that build and deploy these models aren’t culpable for building products that are supposedly too smart to control.”
