Trade finance platforms need to work with the standards banks already use. @swiftcommunity MT and MX messages carry payment and trade instructions. UCP and ISBP guide how letters of credit are examined and paid. @contourtrade, XDC Ventures’ trade finance platform, connects stablecoin settlement to those existing workflows. The team will be presenting its approach at @Sibos Miami 🗓️ September 28 - October 1.

XDC Network was featured on @CNNBrasil in an interview with @DConsimo , Head of Business Development @xdc_latam , discussing tokenization, RWAs, and the evolution of blockchain-based financial infrastructure in Brazil. Over the past few years, Diego’s work in the Brazilian market has been instrumental in expanding XDC Network’s institutional presence and helping position the network as one of the leading infrastructures for tokenization in the country. Today, XDC Network is approaching BRL 8 billion — approximately USD 1.4 billion — in tokenized assets issued in Brazil, with growing participation from banks, securitization companies, credit originators, and other financial institutions. The interview also covered Brazil’s evolving regulatory landscape, XDC’s participation in initiatives related to the CVM tokenization pilot, and the development of @xdcaitech Agents, bringing a new layer of intelligent automation to financial applications and enabling autonomous agents to interact with data, assets, and blockchain infrastructure in a programmable way. @XDCNetwork continues to advance at the intersection of blockchain, tokenization, artificial intelligence, and institutional financial infrastructure, turning emerging technologies into real-world, scalable applications.

A tokenized deposit and a stablecoin may appear similar onchain, but they do not represent the same type of claim. A stablecoin is generally a claim on its issuer, supported by a separately held reserve pool. A tokenized deposit remains a claim on the issuing bank and is backed by its balance sheet, consistent with a conventional bank deposit. Canada’s OSFI formalized this distinction in its September 10 capital guidance. Qualifying tokenized deposits may receive the same regulatory capital treatment as conventional deposits, provided they remain tied to the issuing bank’s credit rather than a separate reserve structure. The technology may look similar, but the underlying claims and risk profiles are not.

🔥 Builder Spotlight: XDC Network. Algorand. Hedera. We brought together builders from all three ecosystems for a deep dive into what’s being built and where blockchain adoption is heading: XDC Network | @YourBroQuincy of @XDCFoundation discusses connecting legacy institutions with public blockchain infrastructure, bringing VCs and startups together through the @XDCNetwork accelerator ecosystem, and expanding the network’s physical presence in New York. Algorand | @LoafPickle from @AlgoFoundation and @PeraAlgoWallet breaks down post-quantum accounts on @Algorand, the new AC2 architecture for securing AI-agent interactions, the rebuilt Pera wallet, and what sustainable blockchain foundations could eventually look like. Hedera | @filtehu explores the consumer side of @hedera through @HashPack, @SentX_io and emerging ecosystem builders, as well as why the future of adoption may depend on making blockchain increasingly invisible to the end user. Three ecosystems. One builder-focused conversation. Hosted by @TateOnChain
