With these additions to a world series team, i bet they won the division and definitely finished .500 or better.
All in one offseason lol

Is Max Fried okay?
If Cam Schlittler gets Game 1, who gets Game 2? 👀 Carlos Rodón vs. Gerrit Cole: ERA: 2.67 | 3.64 WHIP: 1.06 | 1.10 K: 91 | 123 IP: 84.1 | 121.1 Rodón or Cole, who are you giving the ball to?

It’s not unexpected, but the negativity from the fan base going into playoffs next week is kinda depressing man. Fans are literally wrapping the season on a team that’s going to win 90+ games with the best pitching staff in baseball. Fans don’t even act like they want them to win

The irony of the Yankee fan jumping from one div winner to the next each yr & saying the Yankees should build like them: 1) those teams don’t win WS anyway, but 2) there’s a new team in the mix every yr whilst the Yankees remain the one constant. Good point on @YankeesFiles

Currently an epidemic of people who know nothing about sports medicine, chiming in on sports medicine.
Buck Showalter is adamant that Aaron Judge should've gone on a rehab assignment before injuring his calf. "When you start talking about the calf, that's a different animal."

Coming into 2026: 2021–full season 2022–full season 2023–freak toe thing 2024-full season 2025–full season This narrative that Judge has been progressively less healthy as he’s aged is patently incorrect. His age 26-28 seasons were his most frequently injured
Madden "You have to wonder if the window has already closed on Aaron Judge leading the Yankees to a World Series title. The 34-year-old Yankee captain has missed 317 games (and counting) and had only four full seasons since 2018 and the fact remains he’s 280 pounds — and every time he has to make a diving catch or crash into a wall at his age now that’s 280 pounds of impact on his body. No surprise the rib injury that’s sidelined him most of this season"

He also didn’t get hurt in game 1. He played 7 games. He wasn’t going to play more than 7 rehab games

And we all know if he played a rehab game and homered everyone would be saying “why is he being wasted playing down there” 💀

Judge did not hurt himself on a singular play lol. Thats not how stress fractures work
So to recap, Aaron Judge: -Hurt himself diving in an April blowout -Played hurt for over a month -Insisted on not playing rehab games -Hurt himself again a week after returning -Said he didn't think he'd need imaging -Ultimately went back on the IL and might be screwed for the playoffs Maybe, just maybe, it's time to stop letting players dictate their injury timelines and recovery plans themselves?

There are like 50-100 accounts with a decent following that all blend into the same mass of amorphous pinstriped rage. I can’t even tell them apart. They all sound the same.
The Yankees are going to use Aaron Judge's injury as the excuse for why another season ended up in disappointment, but the truth is the team ran back a flawed roster and got the same results. Period. The End.
