I am not a medical professional. But can someone who is explain to me why sleeping would be dangerous but playing 3+ hours of a contact sport isn’t? Am I missing something? Or is this as dumb as it sounds?
You shouldn’t be allowed to play a high risk contact sport after 36 hours of sleep deprivation.
That’s basically like playing drunk.
Thats the real story here with Jalen Hurts and the medical decisions.

#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.
