Well, double great news came in overnight from the USA. The 20th Annual National Indie Excellence Awards were announced and both the books I entered were named as Finalists.
Second success - the anthology project, "Romy Lives", put together by myself and @realVernonSmith was a Finalist in the anthology category. Also a real credit to all the authors who had stories in the collection alongside Vern and myself.

Correction: The accidental Summer Squash plants I documented on July 16 turned out to be Winter Squash, or Spaghetti Squash. So, after enjoying beautiful gold-star blooms, we've been dining out on this tasty little gardening mishap. Next year I'll grow them on purpose.

Check out these signed beauties from Australia's @ABPattersonAuth. My mail haul includes Harry Kenmare, PI At Your Service (my favourite PI collection, in part for the response it elicits; great art does that), Harry's World, Harry's Quest, and Jasper (@unclebpublicat1). One of the best parts about reading an A.B. Patterson book is that he goes places I dare not tread. Can't wait to read about the latest sacred cow slaying.
