“Mr McGahon was a child when he was raped by an IRA member, and the incident was covered up by Sinn Féin.”
Sex abuse survivor Paudie McGahon says he was left “speechless by the sheer gall” of the Sinn Féin leadership as they attempted to take the high moral ground in the wake of Jeffrey Donaldson’s conviction. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/…

Well, of course, she and her team have not issued a detailed response, but you can bet they have responded in their heads. Weeks could go by before they realise they didn't actually respond in real life, and then they can try to make out that the problem isn't her humongous gaffe, but the hilarious reactions to it 🤭
Sinn Féin MEP Lynn Boylan's Irish Language Gaffe Leaves Party Red-Faced In a moment that has gone viral and drawn widespread mockery, Sinn Féin MEP Lynn Boylan has inadvertently exposed herself and her party to criticism over their commitment to the Irish language. During a recent meeting of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, Boylan began her remarks in Irish before switching to English. She lamented: "It's unfortunate that we can't use our own language in this committee, but I will continue now in English." The committee vice-chair promptly corrected her, confirming that Irish interpretation was available and that she was free to speak in Gaeilge. Caught off guard, Boylan replied: "We didn’t know, sorry... I wasn’t prepared," before proceeding in English. The exchange quickly sparked accusations of grandstanding. Critics, including unionist voices like the TUV, argued that Sinn Féin appears more interested in "weaponising" the Irish language for political points than genuinely promoting or using it. Online commentary has been scathing, with many noting the irony of a Sinn Féin representative — from a party that strongly advocates for Irish language rights in Ireland — appearing unprepared to use it when the opportunity arose in an EU setting. Boylan, a Dublin MEP elected in 2024, has faced questions about her own proficiency in Irish following the incident. Sinn Féin has long positioned itself as a champion of the language, pushing for its expanded use in official and everyday contexts in Ireland and Northern Ireland. This episode has been seized upon by opponents as evidence of performative rather than substantive support. The clip has circulated widely on social media, with users describing it as "toe-curling" and "awkward" for the party. While Boylan's team has not issued a detailed response, the incident underscores ongoing debates about language policy and political authenticity in Irish politics.

reform is required to address this. A law could be enacted prescribing that the designated leader or assumed leader of an unincorporated association can be served with court papers to facilitate the initiation of court proceedings. For too long the Christian Brothers have sought to evade legal accountability for sexual & physical abuse. Yesterday, as the Irish Independent reports, a High Court judge strongly criticised the leader of the Christian Brothers for his “obstructive” approach towards lawsuits alleging physical and sexual abuse by members of the religious community. Ms Justice Mary Rose Gearty said Brother David Gibson had made a “morally extraordinary decision” to refuse to act as a nominee for the congregation for the purpose of dealing with such lawsuits. The refusal by him and his predecessor, Brother Edmund Garvey, to do so has made it much harder for survivors to progress damages claims. This issue should be urgently addressed by the government by the rapid enactment of essential law reform

back to bullying women again. You are such a wimp. You lie about where you live, you invent a wife who does not exist and talk up depots to disguise your inferiority complex. Even delusions of grandeur have limitations.

A few undisputable home truths Hamas's violation of the ceasefire that was in place on October 6, along with their invasion of Israel, the killing of 1,200 people, and the kidnapping of 250 men, women, and children on Oct 7, directly caused the ongoing conflict in Gaza. If Hezbollah had not begun to fire thousands of rockets into Israel on October 8, there would be no war in Lebanon If Hamas hadn't placed civilians in Gaza in harm’s way by using them as human shields, the death toll among Gazan civilians would have been much lower If Hamas were to hand over those responsible for Oct 7, the war would end

See Irish twitterati have excitedly embraced & promoted the narrative that Israel responsible for the tragic shooting of this little girl. The truth is below. The anti Israel cult has no real interest in the welfare of Palestinians & conflict ending. Just dedicated to promoting hate & antisemitism.
FACT CHECK: This image is from August 18, 2020. A Houthi sniper shot a girl named Rowaida in Taiz, Yemen while she was carrying water home. The original post is still live on X. @Partisangirl recycled a 6 year old Houthi atrocity photo and blamed Israel. The truth got 397 likes. The lie got 60,000.
