The best blockchain experience is no blockchain experience. Build with @USDC on @arc
I was skeptical but @Arc is legitimately a pleasant blockchain to use. Fast, USDC fees, EVM based. Hard not to like it.

Now that we've gotten our feet wet, just wait until you see what we'll do on @arc for third party assets 🚀
JUST IN: Circle's own product suite on Arc surpassed $800M in onchain market cap within 1.5 weeks from launch.

I was looking into the biggest CEX hacks of all time, the top of the list is almost entirely offshore exchanges: Bybit, Bitget, Coincheck, Mt. Gox, KuCoin, WazirX, BitMart, Poloniex, etc. Does anyone have a good explanation for why this is? Are the security setups and custody practices at offshore exchanges structurally worse, or is there something else going on? They’re obviously massive honeypots, but so are the large U.S. exchanges. People like to argue why Coinbase can still clip retail users 100 bps on trades. A big part of the answer is pretty simple I think: they don’t lose your funds.

It’s actually funny imo this has also led to I think the rise of people moving assets off cold storage into platforms as well. Both digital neobanks but esp these exchanges. I have talked to many who have been in the space for so long and shifting to either these types of exchanges or ETFs. bc of both CEX hacks and some cold storage concerns that they don’t have enough to make it worth justifying all this advanced cold storage processes vs moving on these highly trusted exchanges

.@Uniswap settled 140 million trades in August, more than Cboe BZX and NYSE American combined. NYSE American has been around since 1908. Uniswap launched in 2018. Five years ago it was ~2 million trades a month. Next rung up: NYSE Arca, at 232 million.

the united states needs crypto in a way that your average person has zero understanding of proliferation of stablecoins and tokenized stocks extends US Dollar dominance & in turn increases net buyers of US Debt at scale in a way that cannot be easily replicated your benefit of being here & understanding this is a massive advantage that you should not take lightly

Derive's options volume is up 4.5x this year and the fees increades 70%. Volume is compounding and fee capture is not, because Derive cut its options fees in July. Taker fees went to 0.0075% from 0.03–0.04%, and top makers now get paid rebates to quote tighter. The venue is buying order-book depth and giving up take rate to do it. Volume → Options notional went from $735M in January to a $3.3B monthly run rate in September. → August alone did $1.92B, the best full month on record before September. Fees → Protocol fees went from $324K in January to about $562K in September, up only 1.7x. → March is still the best fee month of 2026 at $709K, six months on.
Derive owns 93% of onchain options premium volume. Onchain options are 5% of Deribit. That gap is the whole trade. New research on what Derive actually earns, what V3 changes, and where the buyback stops working.

Derive: The Frontier Trade in Onchain Options

Key Findings Derive is the onchain options market in any practical sense, clearing $82.7m of the sector's $88.8m in trailing 30-day premium volume, or 93.1%, and $2.41b of its $2.62b in open interest,

People still misunderstand Bitcoin’s moat. Bitcoin doesn’t need to win every feature race. Privacy, speed, and functionality can be built over time. The moat is its decentralization, security, and credible monetary policy. And on those dimensions, nothing else comes close.

I mean the thing I feel many misunderstand is that bitcoin has to do these things. You can use zcash to break up your identity, and swap to btc. Can use chains for defi with btc. btc can just focus on what it does and let others focus on building around it. especially it seems with bitvm

Snippets @JensenHuang said that really stuck with me on AI doomerism. “Don't think for a second just because you're an alarmist that you're doing a social good. If you want to be scientific, be scientific. Do the science.” Before this he gave the example that Geoffrey Hinton who gives a 10% chance of AI wiping out society also predicted radiologists would be gone. He goes on to say “Was that helpful or hurtful to society? Is that helpful or hurtful to the society? I think we can all agree. We can both agree it would be terribly hurtful. It didn't happen. Is it good or bad that we scare young people about the future of Al so much so that they don't even want to go to universities”
Tomorrow on the show: @JensenHuang, the CEO of NVIDIA, who thinks A.I. fear is getting way out of hand.
