Tokenized stocks are now live as collateral on @kamino markets on solana
Holders can keep the xStocks exposure, borrow stables against it, and redeploy that liquidity without selling the underlying position. the asset stays on the balance sheet while taking on a second job
this is where tokenized equities move from being held onchain to actually being used onchain
Once the stock can sit as collateral, support borrowing and keep the original exposure intact, the asset starts participating in the rest of DeFi instead of just existing onchain
that is the part that matters more for adoption. not how many stocks get tokenized, but how much financial activity can actually be built around them
More stock exposures can get wrapped pretty quickly, but borrow markets, liquidity and risk rails do not scale automatically with issuance
@kamino is one of the places where that next layer is starting to get built.

we built breaker for the @solana stocklana hackathon.
on september 17th, the SEC started letting real US stocks trade on public blockchains
but there's a condition almost nobody is talking about:
when nasdaq halts a stock, every venue trading its token has to halt it too.
on solana, nothing does that today.
the issuer halts the stock, but the token keeps trading.
we checked every stock xstocks has halted right now, and not one of them is paused on chain.
any pool holding them would keep filling orders at a price the market hasn't set.
@breakersec is infra for exchanges, protocols and liquidity pools.
it's one call a venue adds to its swap, and before any token moves it checks what the SEC order requires:
→ is the stock halted?
the trade is refused
→ is it over its daily volume limit? refused
→ did it pass? the trade is published on chain, in dollars
if any check fails, the whole trade reverts.
it covers all 1,124 xstocks tokens, with the halt feed mirrored from the issuer every 5 minutes.
the demo below shows the same order sent with and without breaker while the stock is halted.
every run is a real transaction on solana devnet that you can open yourself.

An important update from Hotstuff
As we prepare for the next chapter in Hotstuff's journey, we'll be winding down our current trading operations across both perpetual and spot markets.
We're working towards a strategic acquisition of Hotstuff Labs, subject to final agreements and approvals. The proposed transaction would bring our engineering team, trading products and full financial infrastructure, including our custom Layer 1, into the acquiring company. Our intention is to continue working on our vision and relaunch our product lines under the acquiring company's brand.

For everyone with positions or funds on Hotstuff, here's what happens next:
• Perpetual markets will close on September 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time (14:30 UTC). You can close your positions before this deadline. Any positions still open at the cutoff will be automatically settled at the prevailing market price, with the resulting account balance available to withdraw.
• Vault withdrawals will open only after perpetual markets closes.
