I made a game devs/publishers tier list, for fun. 🎮
• It's ranked on MY current opinion and/or experience with them or their games.
• Current opinion = if I made this when Dragon Age Origins came out, Bioware would have been at the top of the list. Now? Most definitely not.
• Yes some of them are long gone, yes I put some games rather than devs (I couldn't find the logos, just picture the dev instead).
• No, disliking a game dev/publisher ≠ disliking their games.
• You can like a product and dislike the company behind it - before the GTA cult comes after me.
• Example: I LOVE Total War Games, but I hate the DLC practices from SEGA and CA, thus they are where they are.
• If some devs/publishers are missing, assume I don't have an opinion, experience, or they simply didn't come to mind.
(subject to change, might have moved some stuff up/down, will probably update in the future!)

GTA 6 is not a Xbox Play Anywhere title, you know why?
Because both Rockstar and Xbox want your money :D
And to add to that pile, they are offering cloud streaming for PC bros...
And joke doesn't end there.. you need to buy $80 version of the game on Xbox before you can even stream the game.... and buy gamepass and then you will be charged by the hour for streaming it

Right
RPGs ARE power fantasies in most cases, that's the whole point.
But even then, I don't care to start as the chosen one, that's not the point.
One of my favorite series of all time is Gothic - in Gothic you start off as a weak nobody, anyone and anything is a danger to you, but eventually you GROW into the "chosen one". It's the journey that matters to me.
Also, how is KCD not a power fantasy? It's a delayed* power fantasy, just like Gothic: start from nothing as nobody and become someone.

Why does CD project get a high ranking when their launch for Cyberpunk was dog shit? Took them years to get the game going again, just saying. And the problems you have with rockstar stem from taketwo making decisions that make them look bad. The no disc shit is clearly take2

I don't believe I need to justify my opinion, but if you want to know, because CDPR redeemed themselves over the years, in my eyes.
Same concept I wrote about BioWare, if I made this list back when I CP2077 released they would have been far down the list.
With Rockstar it's not just the disk matter, which is definitely a thing as I believe they're in cahoots with Sony, butit's a bunch more issues I have with them.
The console exclusivity for once, which I am highly against, and which they continue to practice with every new game, just so they can squeeze more money out of "fans" that will buy it multiple times on different platforms. (don't tell me they don't, I've seen people buy gta5 4 times).
The online stuff and the predatory microtansactions would be another point, but I will not delve into it.
Don't want to make it an essay, tldr I don't like Rockstar, even less Take 2 (but I admit I forgot about them).
And yet like I said, I have no problems with the base games themselves.
If you like them, that's perfectly fine with me, just don't ask me to like them too 😅
