Hear me out: imagine if @larianstudios second project was.... A REBOOT OF ULTIMA? I'd lose my mind 🤯 What are the chances?

I made a game devs/publishers tier list, for fun. 🎮 • It's ranked on MY current opinion and/or experience with them or their games. • Current opinion = if I made this when Dragon Age Origins came out, Bioware would have been at the top of the list. Now? Most definitely not. • Yes some of them are long gone, yes I put some games rather than devs (I couldn't find the logos, just picture the dev instead). • No, disliking a game dev/publisher ≠ disliking their games. • You can like a product and dislike the company behind it - before the GTA cult comes after me. • Example: I LOVE Total War Games, but I hate the DLC practices from SEGA and CA, thus they are where they are. • If some devs/publishers are missing, assume I don't have an opinion, experience, or they simply didn't come to mind. (subject to change, might have moved some stuff up/down, will probably update in the future!)

I'm gonna have fun with this game, I just know it 😎

I still think choosing to announce and release Witcher 3 Remastered the same month as Dawnwalker came out was a bit of unsportsmanlike move, but that's just me I suppose. Reminded me of how Blizzard operates... or at least used to.

And there's boars and wolves EVERYWHERE. Also, with scaling enemies, which I hate it's a thing, you can't even dispatch of them quickly (until you unlock the right abilities)

The previous list was too restrictive, here's a better one. Still not the full picture, but I feel more satisfied with it, might add more in the future. If you haven't played it yet, Esoteric Ebb is an absolute BANGER Disco Elysium-like (I don't like that term but whatever) game, highly recommend it.

Complaining is humanity's national sport, especially from people who aren't going to buy the products they complain about in the first place. I'm not going to buy this game, because I'm not going to buy a PS5/whatever, and because I have no interest in it as of now, thus I'm not gonna sit and bitch about it 24/7. Can we take a moment to appreciate how GOOD and fitting was the music in Stronghold? When I heard the old tracks being used in Stronghold 4 I felt so happy and nostalgic.

The time mechanic in Dawnwalker is there to serve a story purpose and has a logical reason for its existence. Re-using it over and over in sequels, "just because", would quickly turn it into a cliche and make it feel forced:"we have to find a reason for the player to be in a hurry, again". If it makes sense for them to use it, then I welcome it, if not, I don't want it. We don't need every story to be the same.
