Tech events are chaotic in the best way. Sessions, interviews, creators, customers, last-minute opportunities and at least one “we NEED to get content with them before they leave” moment. 😂 That’s why the best event content needs a plan, but also the freedom to ditch it when something better happens. One event should give you way more than one “great day at…” post.

AI recommending something for you to buy is one thing. Giving it permission to actually buy it is something else entirely. That’s where agentic commerce starts to get super interesting. Imagine telling an AI agent: Find me the best nonstop flight to New York next Thursday, keep it under $700, make sure I can change it, and book it. The technology is increasingly moving toward being able to do exactly that. But the moment an AI goes from recommending an action to actually taking one, an entirely different infrastructure has to sit underneath it. How does the agent prove it’s acting on your behalf? What exactly is it authorized to spend? Which payment methods can it access? How do you prevent a compromised agent from making unauthorized purchases? What happens if it makes the wrong decision? Who is responsible? Identity, permissions, authentication, spending limits, audit trails and human approval are paramount. This gets even more interesting when you take it beyond consumer shopping. An enterprise AI agent could eventually reorder inventory, purchase cloud capacity, renew software, book logistics or transact with another company's agent. At that point, we’re not just talking about AI assistants anymore. We’re talking about software with real economic authority. For the last few years, the big question has been: What can AI do? I think the next question might be: What are we comfortable letting it do for us? Where would you draw the line? PS: Yes, this is an AI generated image of me shopping. And yes, it gave me an extra toe 😂

TechMode Explains: Edition 5 - Complex tech. Clearly explained. This edition: Edge Computing 🌐 Edge computing brings data processing closer to where the data is actually being created or used, rather than sending everything back to a central cloud or data centre. Why does that matter? It can reduce delays, cut the amount of data travelling across networks and enable much faster responses. Think connected vehicles, smart factories, healthcare and smart cities, where even a small delay can make a difference. And it doesn’t replace the cloud. Edge and cloud can work together, processing different workloads where it makes the most sense. What should we explain next?

During #NationalPreparednessMonth, we recognize the first responders, emergency managers and public safety professionals preparing every day for the unexpected. Preparedness goes beyond the response plan. It also means thinking ahead about the communications and connected systems teams will depend on as conditions and demand change. Operational resilience has to be designed before it’s tested. Learn more about @T_Priority: t-mobile.com/t-priority T-Priority Partner

Coverage alone doesn’t mean readiness. A network can cover an area and still come under enormous pressure when demand surges. Watch my 60-second take, then dive deeper into what operational resilience really requires here: linkedin.com/pulse/beyond-co… @T_Priority Partner

TechMode Explains: Edition 4 - Complex tech. Clearly explained. This edition: Zero Trust Security 🔐 Traditional network security often worked like an office. Show your pass at reception and, once inside, you were trusted more broadly. Zero Trust works differently. Access is continually evaluated based on who you are, the device you’re using and what you actually need access to. Think of it like having your pass checked before entering each room, not just at the front door. In simple terms: 🔐 Don’t trust automatically 🔐 Verify continuously 🔐 Only give access to what’s needed That’s Zero Trust. #ZeroTrust #Cybersecurity #EnterpriseTech

TechMode Explains: Edition 2 — Complex tech. Clearly explained. Every two weeks, we take one of the biggest technologies shaping enterprise and explain it in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way. This edition’s technology: Agentic AI 🧠 AI agents and agentic AI are closely related, and the terms are sometimes used interchangeably. A useful way to understand the difference is this: An AI agent is a software system that can pursue a goal and complete tasks on behalf of a user. Agentic AI describes the broader approach that allows one or more agents to plan, take action, assess the results and adapt as they work towards a goal. Instead of waiting for instructions at every step, an agentic system can decide what action to take next, within the boundaries it has been given. Imagine asking AI to help organise a product launch. Rather than simply creating a checklist, an agentic system connected to the right tools and information could build a timeline, coordinate tasks, identify delays, suggest solutions and adapt the plan as priorities change. All with defined permissions and human oversight where needed. That’s why businesses are paying attention. The next wave of AI isn’t just about automation. It’s about giving AI greater autonomy to work towards a goal. 💬 What’s one business process you would trust agentic AI to help manage? This keeps the explanation simple without suggesting that ordinary AI agents are incapable of planning or adapting.

The biggest threat to great technology isn't bad engineering. It's poor communication. The best enterprise tech doesn't always win. The technology that's easiest to understand often does. Enterprise buyers don't buy complexity. They buy confidence.
