Things that never get old in Gears:
- That headshot sound, pure bliss on the ears
- Plugging an e hole
- Sawing through the locust
- Surviving a tense Gnasher dual
It’s been 20+ years of gears and these simple moments still bring me joy

It’s sad most of the Gears Eday conversation online is about Mags and Flags instead of the gameplay and story.
Although THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE TO, I wonder from a business perspective if they made Mags attractive and didn’t include flags would sales and player count be much higher.

I love video games but am starting to hate gamers.
How hard is it to debate a topic without resorting to insults and snark? To understand two people can experience the same media differently? Or to grasp differences of opinion?
Nuance and class are dead on this app.

Did a match of PvP over the weekend, my first time in Gears PvP in like 6 years or so.
Barely went even but did have fun. Movement feels so good and the gunplay is as crisp as ever. Gonna need a lot of practice to get back to a good k/d though ⚙️

I spent 16 hours on Gears Eday so far between the campaign, horde siege and PvP.
I have no regrets.
There’s things I could nitpick here and there but it’s overall felt amazing to play. If it doesn’t sell enough, at least the last Gears will be a fun one.
For the CoG 🫡

On Act 4 of Gears Eday and sadly it’s really woke slop
- Mag has Marcus hold her purse as she slays a locust sniper as he was too scared
- Captain Grey forces Reyes to apologize for the patriarchy
- Marcus yearningly holds Dom and says “I can be your Maria for now”

Going through the Gears of War: Eday campaign and am loving it so far.
1st act was pure horror vibes.
2nd act has you exploring the city as the chaos continues, balancing helping fellow gears and civilians while handling missions.
Can’t wait to see what’s next 🤘

Gamers: Do you trust Metacritic or Opencritic more when it comes to video game scores?
For those unsure of the difference MC skews the average making some reviews matter more than others while OC uses a simple average.
11%
Metacritic is best!
26%
Opencritic for the win!

I don’t care either way

Finished Act 1 on Gears E:Day 🔥
I hate to be cliche but WE ARE SO BACK. The atmosphere is pure horror so far. The combat feels so crisp and smooth. The visuals are a feast.
If the campaign keeps up this quality up it’s a definitive return to form.

Early reviews have Gears: Eday at an 89!
I think it’ll drop as more reviews come in (most games do) but it still should end up in the 80s which is in line with the Coalition era of Gears.
1/32 reviews gave it a 50/100 which I am STRONGLY doubting is not click bait.

Good and bad are largely subjective but with that said:
- SM2 was mostly a good time
- Starfield was flawed but fun
- Mixtape 🤮
- Bioshock Infinite🔥
- Halo Infinite was solid
- Haven’t tried Avowed
- I LOVED FF16
- Tried Marathon with a buddy on the free weekend and hated it

Nothing like spending $300+ dollars on a broken collector’s edition 🎉
Can’t wait to see what a pain in the ass it’s going to be to fight @XBOX for a partial refund.
I don’t expect the full $300 but I think $150-$180 is fair as that’s the statue portion of the CE.

My Gears Eday special edition is set to arrive today and now I’m nervous 😬
If it does arrive broken I’m going to be pisssssssssssssed off. People spending $300+ shouldn’t have to deal with broken merch, especially from a multi trillion dollar business.
My Gears of War EDay collectors edition is broken out of the box! Please help! @GearofWar @Community_Gears @XBOXSupport

I did NOT expect to come across Fembots while playing Mario + Rabbids: Battle Kingdom.
At this point going forward I will expect the unexpected.

The Gears IP is one of the most special IP to me in all of gaming.
I’ve met new friends on Gears.
I’ve had fun family memories on Gears.
The story of brothers in arms and their struggle hits deep.
Gears made me appreciate the Xbox brand.
So hyped for Eday 💚
