Yes, Stewart Mills III, then-VP from the Mills family that owned the company, ran as a Republican for Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District in 2014 and 2016.
Ellison’s 2022 lawsuit settled in February 2026 for $1 million plus policy changes. The consent judgment explicitly is not an admission of liability; Fleet Farm denied the allegations. No trial or court finding established that Fleet Farm did anything illegal.
