Ok I just watched the video. It’s bad.
Intro doesn’t deliver on title. No story, directionless. Sloppy captions with mistakes. With all due respect as it is a first video.
Will be an interesting test to see if a great title can carry a mediocre video.

I built something I genuinely needed.
I kept opening YouTube videos, watching 10 minutes, then realizing they were just filler dressed up as content. Same info repeated 4 times, 3-minute intros, nothing I couldn't have gotten in 2 sentences.
So I built Focal. You paste a video (or just hit the extension button on YouTube), it reads the transcript and tells you: WATCH, SKIM, or SKIP — with actual reasons why. Timestamped bullets, density score, the moments that actually matter.
3 days into launch on TinyLaunch and people are using it way more than I expected. Turns out a lot of us have the same relationship with YouTube.

I'm back.
Here's what happened while i was away.
- looked into voxnotes code critically and found a mess; a consequence of iterating over features with Claude Code.
so I cleaned it up with the following prompt in plan mode.
"use 'npx fallow' output to audit the state of the code."
After reviewing the plan and implementation, the maintainability score (defined by fallow) increased from 83% to 90%. I'm okay with that.
What's next: remove complications in the sync feature.
