the first $200k in volume took three months.
the second took 18 days.
we finally started our growth initiatives, we're still running some experiments in different channels as:
- content on
@contavcbr
- instagram account
instagram.com/contavc
- our TG community
t.me/contavc
- YT videos w some creators
- some IRL events (cohosted w
@norafinancexyz )
- a cool video with
@_frontandy explaining self custody
-
@BitsandBorders featured us on today newsletter (thanks
@AaronWStanley )
all of our experiments are being measured by our agent connected to our local data +
@Amplitude_HQ + ledger, that gives us a clear vision on the impact and results for each one of the initiatives.
first thing we have to deal with: we are able to bring people to the app, make them open an acc (79%), but we only have 34% actually funding the account after the first instructions. some changes on the onboarding shall happen to make the user feel safer on this process.
numbers are picking tho, we are happy that we are able to bring more users, grow the WAU, DAU and volume with a high impact and not breaking. 94.6% of our transactions went through since the beginning, the ones that failed either were refunded, or identified as fraud are held by our compliance agents.
within a total of ~6.500 transactions we already made, only 36 (around 0.5%) were flagged as fraud with a MED (recovery system for the PIX) activated. from those, 29 were false positives, 6 are still open for discussion and 1 was actually refunded to the victim.
as you may have seen, this week we've tested our x402 payments, enabling agents to process pix payments directly to other ppl, creating a new way to interact with the app. we had dozens of requests for APIs to agents to interact with, but our choice, by architecture, was to design a first version of x402 that will give us more control, more security and way more versatility on what you will be able to do on top of it. it goes beta live for our users this week.
we also pushed lot of backend improvements in the app, the payments are faster, we fixed some qr code issues we were facing on very specific payments, we fixed some vulnerabilities with KYC flow and pushed a lot of improvements to our agents helping run the company.
also, the frontend got some cool new features, now we have a cool animation when you open the app, we added push notifications (if you read until here, feel free to claim this R$ 50 to your Conta account
app.conta.vc/r/zHKBDsYQm2Jx8…) , and some quality of life improvements on receipts, transactions processing and more.
this week we have some cool new things to ship, not only the agentic payment open to beta tester, but also we are finally bringing a way to users to save money similar to
@acorns , and a 401k inspired vault accrues value to the network effect we're seeing on users bringing their families and relatives.
we've built the tech for users to own their income, now they're giving them the possibility to start saving their first emergency fund.
as I told here many times,
@DaveRamsey is an inspiration, and we see its methodology as a guide to help millions of ppl to get rid of their debt and build wealth.
next step is helping them make an extra income and kill debt.
we keep building.
