Servant of Christ | Presbyterian in the CREC Prosthodontist Building…All to the Glory of God

Listening to Orthodox and Roman Catholics attempting to exegete Scripture is a clear sign that they don't spend sufficient time in the text to make sense of basic hermeneutical principles. I am speaking of scholarly voices, not the laity for whom Bible reading is virtually non-existent in those traditions, except for fragmentary readings of lessons in the liturgy. When you reject Sola Scriptura you also lose the practice of learning and interpreting Scriptura.

A whole generation of Christian women are being catechized in how to subvert authority, be loud and obnoxious, and constantly devise myths and stories (gossip) at the hands of @RealCandaceO , while simultaneously justifying it in the name of “seeking truth.”

There's no reason not to be metabolically healthy in 2026 with access to CGMs. I noticed my lab values tricking up and hopped up on a CGM to provide more data. The accountability was key to making lifestyle and dietary interventions. Blood draw this week was 97, lowest I've seen in 3 years (CGM for me tends to be about 15 points higher than a blood draw, due to interstitial location). We have the access. Seek knowledge, track, intervene, track again. Sure, 97 could be even lower but fasting insulin is at 2 now, so I'm fairly content and will keep working. @dexcom

"It means fear is not treated as something to be excused because circumstances are intense. It is treated as something to be ordered because obedience is at stake. The presence of danger does not suspend responsibility, it clarifies it and calls to direct it to a greater fear." @StatlerMatthew

Neutrality is a myth. We will be catechized one way or another; ought it not be from the pulpit primarily?
Pastors, you may not be particularly interested in politics, but progressives are very interested in the politics of your congregation. If you do not disciple your people from the Word in how to think and act politically, you leave a void that others will gladly fill. You are essentially outsourcing the political discipleship of your flock to other sources, whether Fox News, CNN, or the social media algorithm. If you will not speak to political issues, you are ceding all the ground to those who will.

You twist the scriptures to fit your agenda. "as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures." 2 Peter 3:16
When Jesus healed the sick, he didn’t ask for a deductible. When he fed the hungry, he didn’t price gouge for a profit. When the Hebrew prophets saw corruption, they spoke truth to power. When I take on this corrupt system, I’m doing it on biblical grounds.

"How many times have we heard it said, "Christianity is not a bunch of rules and regulations, it is a personal relationship?" That is a false dichotomy. Christianity is certainly not rules and regulations alone. At its heart, it is a personal relationship. But that relationship, because it is a covenant relationship, is defined by rules and regulations. It is based on promises and conditions: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments" (John 14:15)." RC Sproul

A common assumption in modern Western culture is that government and religion are entirely independent — that there is a strict “wall of separation,” and that religion is a purely private affair. The Biblical view, by contrast, holds that while the church and the state are distinct spheres with distinct roles, both are ultimately under the authority of Christ. This distinction does not imply independence from God — it implies separate jurisdictions, both accountable to Him.

Psalm 2:10–12 commands earthly rulers to submit to the Messiah — a public, civil expectation, not merely an invitation to personal faith.

Incredibly logical and wise.
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/NmmAzhf

Doing the Lord's work.
I searched Amazon for a men’s cotton hoodie. Even with the “Cotton” filter checked, I kept finding synthetic blends. I tried “100% cotton hoodie.” Same thing. I know others are also looking for natural fibers, so I built TruTag to show fabric content right in the search results.

Praise be to God, people are coming to know Christ because @JoelWebbon had the stones to interview @NickJFuentes. Let me explain. In the past week, I've had several pastoral conversations with local young Mormon guys from SLC. Why did they come visit our church? They found @JoelWebbon and thru him found @New_Christendom. They've both started attending church and are working through questions about salvation. Yes, their interest began with America First type issues. But Joel and Nick's conversation gave them a runway to Christianity. The one man has listened to 20 sermons on Reformed Theology from R.C. Sproul (at our recommendation). He is very close to conversion (please pray for him). I spent about an hour after church yesterday talking him through the central tenets of the gospel. God seems to be at work. Our critics say we don't preach the gospel. They say we only care about clicks or politics or culture war. None of it is true. They say Joel is a self-serving Bond villain. But you know what? God is using Joel Webbon to bring people to know Christ. The right wing young guys whom certain camps relentlessly attack? The alleged basement dwelling incels? The racist antisemites? Many of them are hungry in ways you wouldn't believe for Truth. Many of them, I think, will come to faith in Christ.

Emphasis on sunlight and proper indoor lighting = easily overlooked, yet one of the highest yields for human health
I never needed any research to know that blue/green-heavy fluorescent lighting is satanic mitochondrial poison. When I was an undergrad I didn’t know anything about this, but in an A&P class mostly full of nursing students, we once had the class effectively shut down because me and one other person refused to participate in a class where they turned the shades down on the windows to prevent sunlight from coming in and turned on the overhead fluorescent lights. I don’t even remember what the rest of the class’s argument was. It might have been that the light coming in from the windows created a problem with the angle. Or maybe some of them were using laptops and the sun was causing a glare. But two of us were just sensitive enough to know we didn’t feel well with the fluorescent lights on. To be honest I can still sense that I could probably become psychotic if I spent all my time under them. I am quite sure that many people who are psychotic are psychotic precisely because they spend all their time under these deranged lights. I instantly feel that I am not truly in the real world when I move from sunlight into these God-forsaken evil lights. Our argument was in any case what is wrong with sunlight? What is wrong with someone who shuts out sunlight so they can bask themselves in artificial light? This is like throwing out fresh meat and berries so you can eat dog food made by a machine.

Rooted in a preoccupation with monasticism. Nowhere do we see in scripture a tie between eunuchs and the pastorate.
Replying to @dlongenecker1
I couldn't respect a married priest in the same way. Just like with a Protestant minister, here's a guy who has sex with his wife, goes home and watches the ball game, fusses over his little hobbies, has his family foremost in his mind...just like me.
