Big announcement: We are taking on the largest landlord in America. Yesterday, our housing watchdog group filed 114 civil rights violations across six states and DC against mega landlord, Greystar.  The filings are the culmination of a multistate undercover sting operation in which our army of undercover investigators posed as families with housing vouchers to test Greystar's compliance with state fair housing laws. The evidence we uncovered was overwhelming in both its scope and severity. Greystar has been committing mass civil rights violations at a scale unlike anything our organization has ever seen. Never before have we encountered a landlord that operates with such an utter disdain toward the rule of law as Greystar.  The largest landlord in America is the most discriminatory landlord in America, and today marks the beginning of Greystar’s reckoning. Just remember, no matter how bad life gets, no matter how bleak things seem, no matter how few options remain, you can always take comfort in knowing that your last, best hope isn’t Ted Cruz.

Sad to see the newfound respect TMZ has garnered on here as of late because, at the end of the day, they really are colossal pieces of shit.

In the midst of a dire housing crisis, @AvalonBay used rent overcharges to scam New Yorkers out of millions of dollars. This is corporate theft, plain and simple, and we're putting a stop to it. Thanks to @housingrightsUS for this crucial work on behalf of our neighbors.

One thing the Crockett defenders don’t seem to understand is that this point isn’t a gotcha. To the contrary, it’s the entire reason why it was important for her to mobilize her very large and extremely impressive base in the first place! Like almost any Democrat running statewide in a deeply red place, Talarico is going to lose the white vote badly. So, in addition to minimizing those losses, he needs to maximize Democratic turnout and gains elsewhere — something Crockett, with her impressive base and significant influence (1 million votes!), was uniquely positioned to help do. But in order for her to want to do that, she’d have to have a genuine interest in helping Democrats win a Senate race in Texas for the first time in 38 years, take back the Senate, and prioritize protecting healthcare, food stamps, education, and the broader social safety net on behalf of tens of millions of vulnerable people, all of which have been badly undermined by Republican control over the past two years. But the rub is, Crockett doesn’t actually care about those policies, those people, or those things. Crockett cares about one thing and one thing only, and that’s Crockett. Because she’s a narcissistic fraud.

Hi Aaron. You’re a white man. How is your demographic looking to vote in the Nov 26 midterms?

New: Jasmine Crockett was offering government relations & lobbying services on a campaign-funded website. It was taken down after Zeteo reached out. Experts say they’d never seen something like this before + that it tests the limits of ethics rules & law.zeteo.com/p/jasmine-crockett…

Crockett is rapidly emerging as a top contender in an already highly competitive field to become quite literally the most insufferable person in all of Democratic politics It takes a special kind of megalomaniacal narcissist to constantly and compulsively make yourself the center of attention at every single waking hour of the day while folks are simply trying to focus on taking back the Senate & winning Texas for the first time in 38 years I don’t mean this disparagingly, but some people would be better served by seeking therapy than politics — and Crockett is exhibit A
Now that I’ve disconnected, to do something fun, let me be clear: from now until Election Day, I won’t give an ounce of energy to addressing anything remotely negative or false & clearly this trend is going to continue. Instead I will pour into the amazing candidates that have APPLIED to be endorsed by @thefirepac & received our nod. I’ll be sure to point to the real opposition & finally I’ll say thank you to the REAL ONES… that can always see through the BS 🙏🏾. The more we fight one another, the less we are fighting the people that put us here… and love me or hate me, I DID NOT GET US INTO THIS BS! I stand on my body of work that spans years that even preceded elected office & just like they divided & distracted folk during the presidential, they are doing it again. Nothing I’ve done has taken food, healthcare, nor jobs away from the people I swore to rep. I will use my influence to support those that support making lives better. ✌🏾 If you aren’t talking about a R… and the lives being ravaged by them, you aren’t helping to contribute to a solution.

Crockett received more than a million votes in her Senate campaign and has done virtually nothing of substance to mobilize those voters for Talarico. She has explicitly declined to campaign for him, even as Democrats are trying to take back the Senate from the very party she correctly argues is inflicting immense harm on millions of defenseless people. So yes, what Crockett chooses to do (or not to do) with the enormous political influence she built during that campaign is extremely relevant here. You don’t get to spend a campaign telling people the stakes are existential and then, after you lose, pretend your own conduct is somehow beyond criticism. But in defense of Crockett, she’s a narcissistic fraud, so asking her to put the greater good ahead of herself was perhaps an unreasonable premise from the start.

Maybe you should focus on Talarico, the actual candidate, instead of harassing her about what she's doing

Please don’t let my mediocrity distract you from the fact that Crockett got a whopping 1 million votes in the Senate primary, yet refuses to actively mobilize the voters she has enormous influence over to support the Democratic nominee, despite the implications this has for millions of people who depend on the healthcare and social safety net programs Republicans have spent the past two years annihilating. The thing is, unlike me, Crockett is *not* mediocre. She’s extremely influential, but refuses to use that influence for political good (I.e. taking back the senate) because narcissists be narcissistic. It’s an astonishingly pathetic and selfish way to wield non-mediocre political power.
