The homelessness crisis wasn’t created overnight and won’t be solved overnight, but the status quo is unacceptable. I declared a homelessness emergency on day one.
We’ve added and maintained more than 6,200 shelter beds and helped nearly 26,000 households avoid losing their homes. Many parts of the state are seeing significant declines in unsheltered homelessness.
