We placed our Times Square advertisement at a cost of thousands of dollars, funded dollar by dollar by Jewish New Yorkers who share our frustration with Netanyahu’s use of our communities in his political battles.
I personally led this fundraising effort to give a voice to the many Jews in our city who feel silenced and misrepresented. Following Netanyahu’s UN General Assembly speech and his provocative campaign against Mayor Mamdani, we felt it was critical to make our position publicly known.
We are deeply pained by the repeated use of our Jewish identity and sacred religion to advance the agenda of a foreign government. We reject the notion that Jewish New Yorkers are extensions of Israel or that Netanyahu speaks on our behalf.
Zionism and Judaism are fundamentally distinct. Our faith is not a political instrument, and our communities should not be drawn into Israel’s political battles.
Netanyahu and his allies claim to care deeply about antisemitism, yet they ceaselessly conflate Jewish identity with the State of Israel, disregarding the consequences for Jewish communities worldwide. This pernicious conflation fuels resentment against Jews and undermines the very peace and harmony we cherish.
We refuse to have our sacred religion exploited to advance a foreign government’s political agenda.
We want our cry to be heard. We want to live in peace and harmony with our neighbors. We want our children to grow up in a city where being Jewish does not mean being identified with the actions of a foreign government.
We will not be silenced.

The man has called Netanyahu a war criminal and urged the U.S. government to arrest him during his New York visit.

Israel’s PM is scheduled to address the delegation around 2 p.m. ET.
The focus of his speech will be fighting in Israel and the war in Iran.
He'll only be in NYC for a few hours and intends to talk with several world leaders on the sidelines.
But there is no plan for a meeting with POTUS or U.S. officials.
Bibi's meeting schedule is reportedly sparse and his trip quick due to expectations of anti-Israel rallies outside the UN building.
Quite the cold shoulder for the leader whose country has received more than $300 BILLION in U.S. aid.

Netanyahu is expected to spend about six hours on US soil for his UN General Assembly visit. His schedule includes no meeting with Trump or Marco Rubio.
The plan is to land in New Jersey, travel to Manhattan, address the UN and head back to Israel. The Prime Minister’s Office has listed meetings with other world leaders during the brief visit.

“We are not surprised. He supported Hamas. He sent up officials from the City Council to go and meet with the people of Iran. It’s shameful.
If someone should be arrested, Mayor Mamdani should be arrested for his behavior.”
We may not all agree with what Mamdani has to say… but the beauty of America is that he has the freedom to say it if he wants to. The voters will decide if it was acceptable or not.
