Three missing girls from Chorgalia traced to Himachal, back home safe Three girls who went missing from Chorgalia near Haldwani have been found safe in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, and returned to their families. On September 18, the girls left home around 7 am for school but never reached. Two of them are minors and one is an adult. A case was registered at Chorgalia police station and an alert went out across the district. On SSP Dr. Manjunath T.C.'s orders, a special team led by Chorgalia SHO Tara Singh Rana and SOG in-charge Mohan Singh Son scanned CCTV footage across Chorgalia, Haldwani, Kathgodam and Rudrapur. The footage showed the three travelling alone. Using surveillance and mobile inputs, police tracked them to Baddi and brought them back on September 24. During questioning, the girls said they had left home on their own to look for jobs. Police found no sign of any crime, and all three are safe and healthy. After counselling and statements before a magistrate, the girls were handed over to their families, who thanked Nainital Police for the quick action.
