HUNTERS...
This whole console vs PC debate is going beyond stupid.
If you can put up with the mild inconvenience of manually updating drivers every once in a while, PC is just better, in every single facet. So it should be too, because it's bloody expensive to buy in nowadays. Games typically run at substantially higher framerates and look (usually) quite a bit crisper. Not to mention some of the mods you can get now are akin to having an entirely new game for free on a product you've already purchased. Oh, did I hear, "no online fees"?
If you can't afford it, that's fine, enjoy your console; nobody is suggesting you shouldn't. But don't go around deluding yourselves into thinking you're somehow getting a superior experience. Especially not under the current market leaders in console gaming. I don't think the next generation of consoles is going to be a good time for anyone stuck in a one shop digital ONLY market monopoly.
If you've got an IQ above 90 and don't mind keeping on top of drivers and occasionally having to consult a forum because you have an issue, there's really no other choice (if you have the cash). But let's be real, even console gaming is getting more expensive these days... So if you're waiting for the next BIG thing, start saving. There has to be a market crash on RAM and other PC components eventually, when it happens, buy in.
You'll never look back, trust me. I never did.
