That’s the best you can do? You really are devoid of substance when it comes to argument. You’ve lived in your own little echo chamber for so long you’ve stopped doing your homework to keep abreast of what’s actually happening.
UK businesses want frictionless trade with Europe to generate growth, jobs and prosperity. But pro-Brexit commentators like @afneil apparently know so much better than everyone else. “Shut up and enjoy your gruel,” they shout. Meanwhile, we all get poorer.

The EU is the biggest single market in the World. It is just over than 26 miles from us. If we sell to them, we have to abide by their rules. Rules that we have no say in since the disastrous Brexit. I think someone has a French passport and doesn't give a fuck.

IMHO the EU / Brexit debate is gone. Finished. Times have moved on. The main reason we are so fucked as a country (now) is covid. The lockdowns. The Boriswave. The dodgy PPE contracts / “corridors”. The isolation. The abandonment of office culture. Whitty. Hancock. The loss of energy and morale. It was a catastrophe but it was dealt with catastrophically: we were brought to our knees and we have not truly got back up.

I run an SME, we sell to the EU, I don't have any problems at the boder BUT the new "made in Europe" regs, CBAM, and alignment policies PPWR, "Steel Safeguarding" are the things making it difficult, dreamed up by bureaucrats that have never run a company ROW much easier

Most UK businesses have no business activity with EU businesses trading entirely withing the UK .market. These people live in their own little goldfish bowl.

You can tweet all you like - and you’ve being doing it manically lately - but you will never prove yourself right about the totally failed Brexit. If you’re not going to capitulate your wrong opinion about it, just fuck off you sad loser.

And this is the best YOU can do to explain why & how his tweet is wrong? No facts proving the outstanding success of Brexit? No economic proof? Nothing? Just insults……?

@mpmwilko stop talking out your rear end and look at the facts. You might be able to get away with lying and peddling bullshit to your constituents, but not the rest of us. Enjoy your job whilst it lasts. The clock is counting down fast. 🤡

If non members of the EU have to negotiate such crippling red tape, regulations and friction to trade with them, it surely means that leaving the EU (27 members) makes it far easier to trade with other non members (165).

your spiel on QT and since fails to mention the challenges faced by our companies by the frictions in trade you say should continue Max nails real issues for real companies and freelancers. you are droning about the AFD……. it’s not our pressing concern

Well it beats your argument on QT that there were excellent economic arguments for staying in The EU, blaming The Remain side for not making them, but then stating that it would be foolish to rejoin The EU because it's an economic basket case 🤭!

You would have loved Churchill's plans for a Franco- British Union. "France & GB shall no longer be two nations, but one Franco-British Union". With "Shared citizenship". Like the EU. You always forget what a European Churchill was & how much he fought against petty nationalism.

Remember every single builder in our firm seeing bosses hire Eastern Europeans by the hundreds on overtime single time contracts. The Uk guys refused to drop their rate. Labour kept telling them this was actually good for them.

Yup. @mpmwilko sums it up in a nutshell. Murdoch was always pro Brexit. The greatest calamitous decision of our times. Profligated by politicians Gaslighting the unsuspecting public about issues they could not be bothered to understand, even if they did understand them.

I thought you were pro busines @afneil ? Brexit has put up barriers to teade. Onky the Lib Dems are speaking the truth here; removing barriers to trade will boost our econony. Your Brexit has made our country smaller and mess friendly for business.

Haulage Company Insolvencies nearly doubled post-Brexit due to mounting administrative burdens, border delays and a severe loss of European labour. Brexit fundamentally reshaped the UK haulage and logistics sector, brought significant financial challenges. @mpmwilko

Yu do not seem to do your homework at all, as businesses up and down the country are complaining about the difficulties trading with the EU now. Company I work for got a whole order sent back from Germany. Now we have to pay to ship again. Never happened pre Brexit. Arsewipe.

As I’ll say to anyone who’ll listen there has been a substantial increase in both cost and admin to deal with post-brexit import/export – it was very badly negotiated by people who didn’t understand (or care) what the impact was going to be.

You're a classic example of a man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. You isolate economic statistics to make your point while ignoring societal contentment and global respect. Favouring LePen etc proves they learnt nothing from Trump, Farage and Johnson

People like him visit the EU and stay in hotels and have no idea of what it’s actually like to live there. Like you I have a home in France and live here for half the year. The cost of running our house here has gone up so much since Covid.
