looking at the same. did you contact the driver to confirm they had fsd, or it was listed right in the listing? (I haven't done turo before)

asked muse to find it (it’ll read the reviews) and then after booking while within cancellation window asked the host to confirm which FSD version is installed

what's your % of miles done via FSD

If I had to guess the 198 miles not in self driving are entirely (1) my first week having it where I was more nervous and (2) parking lots.

Smart and safer choice (and more fun!)

I have done this too Paying more for FSD is worth it—you're not at home, you're tired, you just want to plug in your destination and relax!

I wish you could easily rent Teslas from Tesla directly.

same here. We're going to maui and doing the Road to Hana drive and I went to turo to get a car with FSD. I'm essentially retired from driving. In the past I have reserved a Tesla from Hertz (when you could), and I would never end up with a Tesla. It was maddening.

Serious fail from rental companies that they don't offer teslas with FSD. After being awake 24h traveling to the US, FSD is indispensable.

This is exactly the kind of choice that shows how sticky FSD can become once you get used to it.

That’s useful for rental hosts: the feature helped win the booking before you ever saw the car. Was FSD clearly listed, or did you have to ask the host?

I only rental Teslas bc of FSD. I don’t want to drive. I just wish rental car companies wake up.

Same here, paid 50% more for a Tesla with "chauffeur". Way less drive stress, safer and easier to get to new destinations. Totally worth it.

Turo should have a specific filter for FSD cars

I did the same thing, only the Tesla/FSD Turo rental was TWICE as much as a conventional rental car. Still was worth it for the stress-removal factor.

Same. I basically exclusively rent from Turo for this reason. My normie friends think I’m insane but the experience is entirely digital, your settings port over from your home car, and the car drives itself! The other thing I love about Turo is they’ll drop it off and pick it up. And most owners charge a modest convenience fee if you give it back not fully charged.

We do the same; Turo's competitive edge is FSD!

Paying more on Turo just to keep FSD on the trip is a pretty clean PMF tell. That 30% gap says a lot.

I have done the same! It is difficult to find one with full self driving capabilities but possible.

I always do that. I wish @turo had a filter just searching for Teslas with FSD

hertz can't let you pick the exact car, that's the whole thing. mine are corollas though so nobody's booking them for the self driving lol

Did the same for the same reason. Don't want to go to an unknown city without it.

I would definality pay extra for rental car with FSD. You get eace of mind, a better drive, and you actually get to enjoy the scenery. Well worth it in my opinion.

Did the car really drive itself the whole way?

@Tesla we need rental M3 & MY at major airports with FSD as the standard option. The most dangerous thing I do is drive a “new to me” rental car in a city. Please spin up another business unit that complements Robotaxi & Cybercab. Please start with Atlanta.
