Guillermo wrote Pure UI in 2015 and never mentioned coding agents once. I mean, who could? Early React: describe the states, let something render them from the spec, good old JSON lol
It's just wild that now the spec is Markdown and an agent does the rendering. Same essay, 10 years later
btw you can just throw Vercel's design.md at @paper and watch the screens land on the canvas... man what a time to be alive

The thing I love about @Paper and Cursor are they allow me to design with leverage.
I had a bunch of micro graphics with some default copy in them. I had Cursor go scrape the website of the brand I’m working with and apply appropriate copy into all the micro graphics in Paper. It did a beautiful job in about 15 minutes. It’s something that would’ve taken me hours.

fun story behind some of Paper's dark themes: just messing with blend modes, an exclusion layer over the cream + blues flipped everything
the paper turns out dark; every blue lands 179° away... lovely that the sick orange was already in the blue, thanks to graphic tooling 🧡
