I am a student at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), studying Petroleum and Gas Engineering. I hold a National Diploma in Agricultural Engineering.

We were not saved to compete over who knows more. We were not called to compare ministries. We were not called to prove who can preach better. We were called to represent Christ. To present Him to a dying world. And to equip those who already know Him to know Him better. Never lose sight of the mission.

Warranty vs. Guaranty - Know the differences Warranty is a legal promise by a seller or manufacturer that a product or service will meet certain standards or perform as stated. If it fàìls, the seller must repair, replace, or compensate for the ďèfect. Guaranty is a legal undertaking by a third party to fulfill another person's obligation if that person fàils to do so, such as paying a ďèbt or performing a contract. Lets look at their differences A warranty relates to the quality or performance of a product or service, while a guaranty relates to a third party's promise to answer for another person's ďèfàùlt. Lets say you buy a generator with a one-year warranty, the manufacturer repairs it if it develops a covered fàùlt. But if your friend guarantees your bank lòàn, your friend becomes liable to pay if you fàil to repay the lòàn. © Obasi Nzubechi

You see these three Nigerian companies. The very first day you receive your appointment letter to work there, you are already a millionaire. Number 1 and 2 are exclusively for the children of politicians. You see that number 3, Customs, if you know any Customs officer that does not have either a 2 billion naira hotel or at least 2 petrol stations, call me a mumu. People will be saying police is corrupt. Police is not corrupt at all where Customs is. These ones, their corruption directly destroy the economy, directly destroy security. If Nigerian Customs had done a quarter of their duties, Nigeria will never be like this today. People are only joining because of quick money. Only Nigerian Customs you will see an officer collecting N200,000 salary has 2 big hotels in Lagos and 3 mansions and 2 petrol stations in his village. Nigerians have refused to focus on the Nigerian Customs. They should be receiving 70% of the blames for insecurity in Nigeria.

" My dear younger brothers/sisters, be courageous enough to face life challenges as they come. The time of suffering is usually shorter than the joy that follows it. You may suffer alone in such difficult situations, but the benefits are not for you alone when you succeed. There is no limit to the impact such sacrifices would make. It is worth it". Excerpt from the journey of Dr. Bashir Jelani Usman. From his story, he had a very tough journey growing in Kebbi State, Nigeria. But today, he works as a Materials scientist with General Motors in the United States 🇺🇸. He completed his PhD at the University of Manchester, 🇬🇧. So, guys, do not despise the days of your little beginning. I wish you well on your journey.

I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University in 2004 and my school fees wasn't more than 2,000 Naira per annum. My bed space was 90 Naira throughout the 4 years I spent at Suleiman Hall. That was under the Obasanjo/Atiku administration. There was zero loans. In fact, people with 2:1 and first class CGPA were given 50,000 Naira disbursement by the Federal Government every year. After graduation, the banks and telecoms industries were hiring like never before. Many graduates got competitive foreign scholarships. All for free. The Tinubu/Shettima people are asking Nigerian students and their parents to celebrate the formation of NELFUND. When did going to the university in Nigeria requires a loan to poor students? How can they pay back when the economy has been stagnant and jobs are impossible to get? How can they pay back when salaries are peanuts and cannot even pay for travel costs to work? How can they pay back when rent is skyrocketing and disconnected from earning of average tenants? How can they pay back when the cost of electricity is exorbitant and running a generator is impossible due to cost of fuel? If the student loan program is the cardinal achievement of the Tinubu/Shettima administration, then they have failed and deserve to be voted out. There is nothing on the Tinubu/Shettima scorecard that qualify them for a second term. They did nothing and having nothing in their plan for the future. It is a self aggrandisement political project that serves only them and their small group of friends. Nigerian students alone are in millions. Put your heads together and vote Tinubu out in 2027. Reject him before he makes you perpetual debtors! By Usman Isyaku

Carl Jung had a strange method for changing your life from the inside out. Not affirmations. Not manifesting. Practice these 4 steps for 10 days, and watch what happens to your anxiety:🪡 1. What you refuse to imagine does not disappear. (It controls your life from the shadows).

A young boy once asked his grandfather, “Why do people change after becoming successful?” The old man smiled gently and led him into the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed them on the fire. Into the first pot, he dropped some carrots. Into the second, eggs. Into the third, coffee beans. The water boiled for several minutes in silence. Finally, the old man turned off the stove and placed the three items before the boy. The carrots, once firm and strong, had become soft and weak. The eggs, once fragile on the inside, had become hard within. But the coffee beans were different they had transformed the water itself into something rich, warm, and pleasant. The grandfather looked at the boy and said: “Life is like this boiling water. Every person faces pain, pressure, disappointment, betrayal, and hardship. Nobody escapes difficult moments.” He continued: “The question is not what happens to you… but what you become because of it.” “Some people are like carrots. They appear strong on the outside, but when trials come, they lose their strength and give up.” “Some are like eggs. They begin with soft hearts, but pain and disappointment harden them.” “But some become like coffee beans. They don’t allow hardship to destroy them. Instead, they change the atmosphere around them and leave something good behind.” The boy stood quietly, thinking deeply. Then the grandfather placed his hand on his shoulder and said: “Never let the struggles of life make you bitter. Let them make you wiser, stronger, and better.”

This is what Peter Obi said about zoning in 2011 when Goodluck Jonathan was president. He rejected any zoning arrangement for the Igbos and Jonathan. Today, Peter is the advocate of the same zoning he rejected. If you think Peter is running for only one term, I have a nuclear plant in the Sahara desert to auction to you. Your contractors won't tell you this. They will pretend that it never happened.

INNALILLAHI WA’INA ILAIHIRRAJIUN 💔💔 I came home happy & sat chatting with my mother. She told me the meat from last Sallah was not enough for her to share with people. I smiled & told her nt to worry, tht this year I would slaughter a cow for us. She happily replied, “May Allah make it possible.” We laughed and joked together, and before leaving for work, I went to the cattle market searching for cows. After bargaining with a seller, I wanted to make a transfer, but they said they only accepted cash, so I went to withdraw the money. Filled with joy, I called her & said, “Mother, our Sallah cows are ready. This year you will share meat until you get tired.” She quietly replied, “I may not even be alive to eat from it.” I answered, “No, you will eat and enjoy it.” But Subhanallah 😢💔… little did I know my mother would not even witness this Sallah. Today the cows are here, but she is gone. May Allah forgive her, brighten her grave, & reward her for every good intention you had. We humbly ask our Muslim brothers and sisters to remember her in your sincere prayers.

Sins are dangerous at any time, but during the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, which are among the most sacred days in Islam. A believer should be extra careful. Sins during these blessed days can harden the heart, weaken your connection with Allah, deprive you of rewards and blessings, and cause you to miss opportunities for forgiveness, mercy, and multiplied good deeds. The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are days to increase taubah (repentance) and good deeds, not spiritual carelessness. Even if one slips, return to Allah quickly.

Career is more than making money. Yet, money has a way of reducing many inconveniences of life. That is why I still find it strange that a young person can attend a university for four or five years and graduate without anyone making a deliberate effort to educate him or her on personal economy and finance. Yes, universities teach corporate finance, accounting, economics, and broad frameworks on how companies and governments optimize factors of production to create value. But very few systems teach young people how to manage their own money, build assets, allocate capital, and develop long-term financial independence. For me, that remains one of the major gaps in modern education. If education is the liberation of the mind, financial liberation should be a required course. As a banker, I learned one important lesson early: how much you earn is only a small component of financial success. Many people focus entirely on income while ignoring investment and associated allocation. But wealth is rarely built only from wages; wealth is built from systems, discipline, and compounding capital which is money with direction. Yes, money is a scalar quantity, but capital is a vector quantity, having both magnitude and direction {revisit your JSS3 Integrated Science notebook}. Interestingly, financial independence requires moving from a static phase to a dynamic phase, like mechanics in physics. In other words, you must take action. And taking action begins with having a plan. In my first month as a banker, I developed what I called the 45-20-20-15 Strategy, a simple portfolio allocation framework I still explain today in Tekedia Mini-MBA when discussing financial planning and personal economy for young professionals. The structure was straightforward: 45% – Self and Family: (Car, accommodation, clothing, family, etc.) 20% – Personal Development: (Professional certifications, books, training, conferences, capability dev) 20% – Others: (Flexibility, lifestyle, emergencies, miscellaneous) 15% – Investments: (Dividend-paying stocks, etc) Running simple projections using assumptions around dividends, compounding, inflation, and currency stability, I estimated that for every five years of disciplined investing, the portfolio could eventually generate the equivalent of about two years of wages without active work. (This did not turn out well as Naira lost value and messed up my model. Had I done this in US, a bestseller would have emerged). That realization changed my understanding of money forever. Of course, my allocation system has evolved over time because life itself evolves. But one thing has remained constant: there is always a plan, including to compensate for Naira gyration. Simply, if you do not allocate your resources consciously, circumstances will allocate them for you. But remember: circumstances are poor fund managers. Video here tekedia.com/the-45-20-20-15-…
