fintech spent the last decade moving from selling primitives (accounts/cards) to selling outcomes (AP, AR, expense management etc). stablecoins make the primitives much easier to distribute globally, but now you’re selling to businesses whose workflows have very little in common. all the geographic and industry specific stuff you could ignore when serving one market becomes most of the product. most underestimate how much work this creates and how large the market is if you do it right. you can reach all these businesses now, but you still have to figure out how to do their financial work end to end. competing over another point of yield or cashback feels like a fairly small use of what is possible, particularly now that agentic intelligence and automations are widely available.
